I enjoy misreading that as an endorsement for Michael Winner to get the coveted spine #.

Grand Illusion. They'll start their second thousand titles with upgraded Blu-ray and DVD editions of the title that started their first thousand.

Indeed and the artist, Jock, is getting his very own "Art of" book released in September. Should be a nice sized coffee table book for the price. I pre-ordered it on Amazon.

Winner winner chicken dinner!

I mean, that would be the release I would want most, though I hope it happens a lot sooner than #1000.

I assume that's fan art. I had to stare at it for a good 40 seconds to decipher the title through that font, and that's mostly because I finally noticed where it says "Ken Russell's" above it.

I was completely puzzled trying to figure out what "The OFVHS" is.

Obviously a long dead format that Alan Smittee has a near complete collection of in his kitchen pantry.

The guy who designed it is probably into black metal.

I found this on the other site, so credit goes to them

"Lone Wolf & Cub" box set :rock2:

I wonder if they are going to include the "Shogun Assassin" versions.

Wow, always wanted to see that, a set with both versions would be perfect.

What would make a perfect Lone Wolf & cub set would be if they could sync the japanese audio for the Shogun Assassn edit

I was so pissed that the PQ was messed up for the Animeigo set for LWaC. I'm hoping that the Criterion version will correct it but then again, the Criterion Ladysnowblood suffers from the colour variation so who knows...

Does anyone know if Criterion did additional work on Dr Strangelove or essentially the same transfer

It's the same transfer from the 2009 blu-ray, which was from a 4K restoration Sony sunk a lot of money into. It's not going to look any better.

So, is the book the one difference in buying the GDT Trilogy set? I have "Backbone" (no pun intended), but I lack "Cronos" and (of course) "Pan". Also looking at "Boyhood" and "Short Cuts" (though I have it on DVD). Great couple of months (for me) from Criterion.

I think the book may be a partial reprint of the hardcover coffee edition of Pan's Labyrinth coming out that same month.

I wonder how they'll package that Del Toro box. I'm guessing just the regular blus inside a slip-box. If they made it snazzy, I might get the whole box, even though I already have two of them (three if you include WB's Pan's).

Anyhoo, I'm in for Shortcuts! And I'll just stick it in the DVD package that comes with the book.

Yeah, I think I'll have to get that GDT box. Ought to be had for cheap and B&N this holiday season. I have Backbone and Pans Labyrinth on DVD, but they should be worth the upgrade.

20 + interconnected stories & characters in LA using Raymond Chandler stories. PTA was highly influenced by it for Magnolia
