The Criterion Collection 4K/Blu-ray Discussion and Release Thread

re: The Criterion Collection 4K/Blu-ray Discussion and Release Thread
A fantastic film, one of Carol Reed's best. Nice to finally see some Mizoguchi on Blu-ray - I would have thought we'd have HD upgrades of Ugetsu and/or Sansho by now. Life of Oharu is an excellent choice though, as the AE disc looks pretty lousy. Posters on the Criterion Forum are speculating that the Dr. Seuss title is 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T.

According to AV Maniacs, quoting Jim Clatterbaugh of Monsters from the Vault, regarding Island of Lost Souls:
I wasn't able to find the Clatterbaugh quote on Monsters from the Vault's webpage though.
Greg Mank has recorded the audio commentary and there will be a talking heads documentary also. I expect there will be a formal announcement soon.

I'm curious to see what the Kuroneko extras are - the MoC disc was bare-bones. Also in for Island and possibly Four Feathers. I still haven't gotten around to watching my Mr. Bongo disc of Identification, and I already have three Kaurismaki box sets, so I probably don't need a 4th, especially as the Leningrad Cowboys material doesn't particularly interest me.
