Was Ring 2 any good? I honestly don't remember anything from it except the first 10 minutes, despite the fact that I own it.

Does anyone know anything about this "Olive Films" company? They seem to have come out of nowhere with Paramount back-catalog titles on Blu, but I know nothing about them. I'm curious about the quality of the releases.

Here's a list of their releases so far. Apparently the transfers are usually quite good, although none of their releases have any extras. Also, none have dipped below $21 or so, and although I'm interested in several titles, I'm not shelling out that much for a bare-bones disc.

^^ Thanks. Already have "The Perfect Weapon" on order (Amazon still hasn't shipped from the 2/14 release date...). If I ever get it and the PQ is good, I may spring for "1900" as well.

Olive Films to distribute Paramount Titles

I have Sands of the Kalahari from Olive Films. Quite pleased with it. Yes, their discs are usually barebones and not cheap, but they're licensing from a major so like all boutique labels they have to make the money back. My guess is that 1900 will be worthwhile from them, but we'll see.
