I would be all over that set if it wasn't 6 movies on 2 discs and, you know, Echo Bridge quality on top of that. If it was on 3 discs and typical average quality, definitely. What would that extra disc cost EB, 50 cents to a dollar?

'Malevolent' is the only one of those that would be a complete waste of time for me. And even then it still has Kari Wuhrer (although not in a role that takes advantage of it being Kari Wuhrer).

Forget about the extras for 'eXistenZ' from the Alliance release (3 commentaries and an hour long documentary). There was also some decent extras on 'People I Know' (commentary and deleted scenes) and a Kevin Spacey commentary on 'Albino Alligator'.

That never made it to DVD--I figured it would be an Archive title sooner or later.

^ I've always heard that there's a much different cut of that movie that's far superior and never been released, but I'm sure this Blu-ray won't have it.

eXistenZ is a title I'd like to have. Alliance put it out up in CA?

I read the same somewhere. I don't think I'd buy this cut, but I would've ponied up for a DC.

IDK, Father of the Bride is a good movie. Even the sequel wasn't bad

Bringing Down the House? Um, not so much...

what's the running time of the bluray, because the DVD was a psuedo director's cut at 105 minutes (the theatrical cut was 93 minutes) originally the film lost around 45 minutes and reshoots due to studio pressure.

Amazon lists "54" as 93 minutes and from Miramax/Lionsgate.

The picture and sound no doubt will be better than that non-anamorphic DVD.

Re: Blu-ray release announcements - Part IV

I've been buying more Eastwood films lately and am very pleased to see that A Perfect World has been announced. It's been years since I've watched it, but it's a splendid film and much deserving of BD release.

EDIT: Add Blood Work to the Eastwood BD roster, also on June 5.

Fugitive / U.S. Marshalls would have been an ideal double pack.
