Pixar might be a reason why I get a Blu-Ray player sooner rather than later.

Monsters, Inc. is one of the few that I'll pay whatever they ask to upgrade.

Here's a little more information from UltimateDisney.com:

February 20, 2009 - Disney has announced May 19th as the day that Pixar's beloved hits A Bug's Life and Monsters, Inc. will make their Blu-ray debut.
Two discs plus a digital copy ROM, Monsters ($40.99 SRP) will include the all-new ride featurette "Building Monstropolis in Tokyo", a filmmakers' round table, and BD-Live.

One disc plus digital copy, Bug's Life ($39.99 SRP) adds a filmmakers' round table, BD-Live, and the original story treatment.

Both slipcovered releases will also contain a movie ticket offer for the studio's 10th film, Up.

Nice news about the tickets. I'll probably buy both since I know me and my girlfriend will be watching Up.

Although I'm very excited for both of those and must have them, I was hoping The Incredibles would have been one of the two new titles.

I wonder if these will include upgrade rebate offers for owners of the DVD versions. I doubt it, but it'd be nice.

Kuroasawa on Blu (Ran), BSG complete series, and now an additional Pixar title which just happens to be Monsters INC? This is probably one of the best weeks ever for BD! On a related note, The Art of Pixar Short Films arrived today, thumbed through it and it looks great.

Don't forget the T2 re-release we have all been waiting for as well! Agree on the sentiment that this was a good week for release announcements.
