A Bug's Life - Spring 2009 (Tentatively for March)

Per blu-ray.com:

We have confirmed that a post over at The Pixar Blog (unofficial) is correct, and the Pixar film 'A Bug's Life' will come to Blu-ray this Spring. While no date is currently set, an official announcement for the release is scheduled for February with a proposed March release date. I was reminded by our contacts that, because a date has not been set, the possibility for a shift is possible.

I'm (obviously) in. I remember spending way too much on the DVD.

Same here. I remember paying a LOT for the special collector's edition of the DVD back in the day.

I never purchased this on DVD. I almost made the plunge about 5 or 6 times but it was never worth anything close to $20 to me. Now that it's going to be on Blu-ray though I really might as well. I'm sure I'll be able to find a decent deal on this.

The one Pixar film I don't own (and don't really want to own). We'll see- perhaps it's worth revisiting.

I love this movie. This is clearly a no brainer.

My least favorite Pixar, but still pretty good. I'll get it.

I didn't like it at all, but I'm glad to see Pixar is releasing some more catalog titles. Finding Nemo has long been rumored to be on the '09 schedule.

As much as I enjoy the later Pixar films I think this one will always be my favorite. That special DVD edition was sooooo worth the money.

Just the other day a co-worker said to me that "You can always say this for Pixar -- A Bug's Life is their worst film. And that's pretty darned good." I'm getting this one for sure.

Only when you're not busy saying that, more accurately, about Cars.

+1

I'd take "A Bug's Life" over "Cars" any day of the week. This probably borders on some sort of heresy, but I prefer it to "Finding Nemo", too.

I'm just glad that's a choice I don't have to make. I love both films!

And calling any film Pixar's "worst" is still quite a compliment, since their worst is better than any other animation studio's best.

I'm in. But isn't an official announcement in February late for a March release?

I'm obviously in. We have the original release, but I haven't seen the movie in years.

And now that I'm older, maybe I'll see Seven Samurai one night, and this the next.
