It says it on the back of The Rock, but not Life of Brian. *shrug*

Has anyone watched Taxi Driver on AMC this week, will the bluray look better than it does on AMC HD?

It will for me since lame ass Time-Warner only broadcasts up to 1080i. but the TV broadcast looked pretty good. Edited, but good looking at least.

The PQ looks phenomenal. It's way better than what I was anticipating given the low starting price for this release.

Well, this is why I find myself buying more and more Sony catalog titles. If it came from film, the Sony BD usually looks like film. Keep' em coming, Sony. Can't wait for Das Boot in June.

Re: Taxi Driver - 4/5/11

Wal-Mart's gonna have it for $13. I just scanned one tonight.

To be honest, the set should be at LEAST $25. It's very reminiscent of the Deer Hunter/Sting/Vertigo, etc. sets that Universal put out that have the thick "cardboard" digipacks (it's a double-wide spine as well). And the 5 1/4 x 6 1/2 inch lobby cards are really nice as well as the beautiful artwork inside and outside the case.

It's most definitely a steal at the price it is!

The paper on mine was actually glued pretty securely on the back of the case close to the top. I can cut off the top piece that folds over the top of the case with no issues if I wanted to.

For mine, it just had a flap that folded over the top to the top of the front with the Blu-Ray logo on it, and the paper "disc details" sheet covered the back of the case that was glued length-wise pretty sturdy near the top of the back of the case.

It can be taken off by just peeling it off and taking that rubber glue off the case (the glue comes off with the paper when I tried peeling it off), or you'll be able to leave it on. The bottom of the sheet doesn't really flap around when you pick up the case, so you needn't worry about it folding accidentally when putting down the case.

I'd post pics, but my camera's broken.

Best Buy's new ad for Sunday also advertises $12.99. So it'll be available for under $15 at Walmart, Best Buy, and Amazon. Nice to see some aggressive pricing for a change on a new catalog title.

What strange packaging. Wished Sony went with just a digipak of some sort for this release.
