Was looking on Amazon.ca and High Def Digest and it states releasing on Feb 3, but on Blu-ray.com theres no release date but theres one for Canada.

Is it cancelled?

was looking forward to his release since it was announced last year and since then there has been no word.

I ordered it through Amazon.ca. It isn't a bad deal and it comes out in 2 weeks.

yea this is actually annoying now. it was one thing when the retailers would get exclusive features or packaging or stuff like that on the dvd releases, but now that they are getting exclusive rights to sell a movie for a certain period of time is kinda dumb. id rather know i have choices of where to get a movie when it comes out instead of being 'forced' to get it from one store or have to wait until the exclusive time is up.

but back on topic, i cant wait for this to be released! i loved this movie and hopefully it gets a good visual upgrade on bluray!

I'd love to see the Scorsese commentary and isolated score track from the Criterion laserdisc included, but I won't be holding my breath.

Well, it was supposed to come out last Feb. and it never arrived. There's been no news about it this time either so I'm guessing it'll be the same situation all over again.

Wal-Mart's listed release date is now 12/31/2010. So much for that.

The are currently restoring this ala The Bridge on the River Kwai. I read an article that this is happening now and it will be released at the end of the year in the fully restored version. I hope they go back to the original color blood. They might have to do this digitally.
