Most recently Up in the Air which I enjoyed and 9 and Where the Wild things are that I did not. All looked and sounded great, I just found the last two very boring.

The Third Man (1949) - gets better with each viewing.
Clash of the Titans (1981) - bad HD transfer but a great old-school flick. Harryhausen is da man!

Well, I thought of Chicago as enjoyable "fluff" as well... with some artistic merit. I see a fine line being walked with Rob Marshall films. Anyway, the same goes for Nine (as to my own opinion). I by no means thought either film was great but I found them to be at least somewhat entertaining. I guess you felt differently. No biggie.

Disgrace, Difficult film to watch but, anything featuring John Malkovich is required viewing. AQ & PQ were solid.
Night of The Creeps, Can't believe i missed this one during the 80's! Fun film with decent AQ & PQ.

I haven't seen Disgrace yet, but will have to for Malkovich.
And despite it being right in my wheelhouse, I somewhere never saw Night of the Creeps until last month. Loved it!

The Slammin' Salmon - Liked it quite a bit, I'd probably rank it as their 2nd best although I think everything they've done since ST has been pretty bad. Beer Fest had better laughs than this but they were few & far between. I'd probably buy this some day if I could get it for under $10.

Dune - spectacular imagery to behold done the old fashioned way. Lynch's tone is clearly evident in this epic sci-fi classic (arguably). Good stuff.

Practically in tears having just watched the finale of Saving Private Ryan Awesome movie, my former number 1 want on Blu and a great disc. No trouble with the reported sync issues.
Also watching Band Of Brothers - Bastogne

The Two Towers - Maybe this is just my inner dork talking, but this is a near perfect adaptation of the greatest trilogy ever written.

Just watched Avatar. The PQ was excellent, as expected. But still, I'm glad I only spent a few dollars on the barebones release. The film itself is still meh for me, and I know for sure that I won't be double dipping on the SE in November.

Dune - Disc image was mixed (quite a lot of grain up close and some print damage - one noticeable off-color line that kept appearing on the right side of the screen). But the level of detail over the DVD transfer is spectacular. Definitely an acceptable trade-off.

Over the last few nights, my wife and I watched the uncut version of Sin City. The continuity became confusing for her in the theatrical cut and she became frustrated at trying to make sense of it all. I finally convinced her to watch each story by itself, independent of the others, and it made much more sense to her. In fact, she wound up really enjoying it. Score one for home video cuts!

The Thirteenth Floor, which is a pretty solid movie. The transfer looked pretty good as well, although I am far from an expert.
I also enjoyed the commentary, but that was the only bonus feature, which was disappointing.
