Inception...one of those movies that you can watch over and over again and keep catching something different or take away a new vantage point. If I watch this too many times I might get paranoid about my own existence as well!

Transformers say what you will about her lousy acting and overly pointy plastic surgery it would be true, but that Megan Fox is one hot box. Love firing up the ol' HDDVD player/
PS Usually oversahdowed by Megan Fox but Rachel Taylor that plays Maggie ain't too shabby either

Harry Brown In the same vein as Death Wish or Brave One but slow moving and the freakin thick English accents were impossible to understand

Despicable Me - I thought I was over poop and fart jokes...but this one proved me wrong. I think my wife and I actually liked it more than our son.
The Fifth Element - Fun as always and looked pretty darn good in HD.
Toy Story 3 - For the third time. Great movie and some great subwoofer use near the end of the movie.

The Oxford Murders - Bland, boring movie. Solid PQ, decent AQ. Lots of extras but they're all in SD.
Oceans - Great stuff, but I felt like I'd see all the footage before. Not sure why this was in scope, but the PQ was awesome.

The audio is your standard 5.1 in English. German dubbed is 6.1. Sounds good but most of it is in the front speakers. Not a great mix. The video is a huge improvement over the DVD (not reference quality but still good). Seems like a little EE in some scenes.
Audio commentary, deleted scenes and a making of are ported over. There's a trailer too but that wouldn't play on my player (must be in standard PAL). I should mention that the BD is region A/B and will play in ALL US BD players.
I think I payed around $14.00 shipped from Grooves.com and it got here from Germany in 10 days.
I ordered the first Saw film from them too since it's Uncut and a better transfer than the US version. Can't wait to watch that.

re: Last BD (or, unrealistically, HD DVD) you watched?
Just received this from Amazon UK. It's Region-Free so it'll play on all US players. I paid around $10.00 shipped for this.
Colors are very rich and vibrant on BD. PQ is a step above upconverting DVD. The real treat is the AQ delivered in 5.1 DTS HD.
The BD is barebones but does have a small Audio/Video calibration set up on it.
Anyway, if you're a fan of John Carpenter I highly recommend this under-rated classic.
Sidenote: This is my first UK BD and one thing I found out is they use a thicker case. It's the same width of a PS3 game. The case is very sturdy and doesn't have the recycle logos cut out of it. Overall I wish the US would use these cases. Makes it easier to read the titles.
