Greenburg found it incredibly boring and gave up after 40 minutes. Had to be one of the worst movies I've ever seen

Eagle Eye Needed some mindless action to undo the head hurt from Greenburg

How Do You Know? Not a great movie but found it very enjoyable. Wilson, Witherspoon, and Rudd's charm carry the pedestrian screenplay. Never thought Reese Witherspoon was that hot. She has kind of a funny look but in her mid-thirties she's looking better to me. (Which I'm sure is very important to her )

The Sentinal Kim Basinger is the first lady, I remember when she was in Playboy

I never even gave Halloween any consideration, but I'll be picking it up now. Very excited after reading many good things about it.

Recently rewatched Big Trouble in Little China because it's such a badass movie.
I hope you enjoy it.

Sunday Night Film Club week 1

The Night of the Hunter

I just went through the bulk of the extras, this has to be one of my favorite releases of all time. The 2 1/2 hour documentary was great. Even though I've always had an issue with the ending of the film, its still ranks close up there to my favorite film of all time.

Great film and score. Loved Tony Curtis' performance.

Due Date. That was a "for a paycheck" movie.

Taxi Driver - They really knocked this one out of the park. PQ is gorgeous - clean and crisp, but still retains that gritty '70s aesthetic. AQ is equally solid. I can't wait to dive into the extras.

Star Trek TOS S2 and S3. Picked these up on the recent Star Trek store sale. Other than the smokin sale not really sure why I picked these up. I have the original releases as well as already having purchased the Beta and then VHS back in the day.

I am very much an originalist. Very seldom do I see much of an improvement in DC or extended cuts but I do have to admit they did a nice job on the revised special effects. Not too intrusive.

I was about 8 years old and we had a Black and White TV as most people did back then. Star Trek was one of the first shows I can vividly remember seeing on a color TV at a relatives house. It was as amazing as the first time we saw DVD or Hi-def.

Case 39 Not sure why I put this in my queue, I really don't like horror flicks

Chloe That was one of the most erotic main stream films I have seen in a very long time. Amanda Seyfried and Julianne Moore all nekkid. Yowza

Star trek TOS a few more episodes, but I'm pissed, they're brand new and Trouble With Tribbles is freezing

re: Last BD (or, unrealistically, HD DVD) you watched?

I'm glad someone else is watching something this weekend. Either very few people watch what they collect or like to keep it a secret.

In The Line Of Fire I saw a special on the secret service in the afternoon so I was in the mood for something related. I just saw The Sentinal the other night so ITLOF made sense.

Hangover A little refresher since it had been awhile

Star Trek TOS In spite of a little buyers remorse, I have to admit this is a nice set

Princess Bride (A surprising amount of grain, but happy with the upgrade.)

The Pacific (Six episodes in now.)

re: Last BD (or, unrealistically, HD DVD) you watched?

Tron - I've always avoided this movie because it looked incredibly dated and nothing drew me in about it. Then I had some interest in seeing Legacy because of the buzz it had generated with the people I know...however I'm a stickler and had to see these in order so I could get any possible background info, etc. It turned out to be a fairly entertaining movie actually, alot of the effects were very dated, but the story was interesting, if not only to see what the world of technology was thought-of at the time. Not a bad flick by any means, and I'll be showing it to my nieces and nephew since they saw Legacy already.

Tron Legacy - I found this one to be pretty entertaining as well, nice and mindless and lots of action...sometimes that's all I'm looking for. The movie looked fantastic and sounded incredible. REALLY dug Olivia Wilde, hubba hubba. Between watching these two movies though, I kind of wondered why they were called Tron, when it seemed that the Tron character seemed to have such small parts in both movies. I probably missed something, I knew he was supposed to be some sort of defense program in the first movie...but maybe I just misunderstood.
