Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian - A fun little movie, if you go in with no expectations.

Superman/Batman: Public Enemies - Just another all style, no substance DCAU feature. The series were so good, I don't know why the movies are so forgettable.

I generally agree with that, but I feel that the film also needs to stand on its own when I watch it at home. Theaters can greatly skew a film's grade. That being said, watching it by myself may not have been the best idea. It would have been nice ot feed off someone else's laughter.

Fight Club. This is still one of my all time favorite films. It's brilliant, and the ending hits you in the gut and makes you truly think about all the things you just witnessed. A visual assault to the senses.

Baraka. Great movie, stunning visuals. Great way to test out the new 42' HDTV.

Sunshine Cleaning - Good movie that gets a for the Amy Adams (albeit brief) tit-shot.

District 9 -

G.I. Joe - It was a decent dumb action flick. It didn't get bogged down in plot or characters, it just kept the action coming pretty much non-stop.

Public Enemies - Why did I skip this in theaters? I wasn't sure if the camerawork would ruin the film for me or not; it doesn't. Another fantastic flick from Mann, great score. The PQ was terrific, as was the AQ.

Extract - Meh. It wasn't bad, but wasn't what some critics & reviewers are making it out to be either. Mila is smoking hot in it though.

Angel Heart - Awesome movie. Mickey Rourke is great as a Mickey Spillane-esque P.I. and Robert De Niro is just super creepy.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince - It was ok, but not the greatest.
Family Guy: Something, Something, Something, Darkside - Had me laughing quite a bit and I really enjoyed it.
Monsters Vs Aliens - Much better than my low expectations and like most animation looked awesome in HD.

Star Trek great home theater movie

The Hangover one of my most wanted on my Christmas list and my mom came through for me. Great presentation. I will admit though, as someone who always dismisses extras as not needed, I found myself looking for more in the way of extras on that disc. But I love Vegas and I love the movie so I needed a little more I guess.

It was a good movie. I had the added benefit of someone in the row right in front of me explaining out loud what just happened in case I missed any of it.

Moon - Great psychological sci-fi flick. Pretty well-thought out as far as these things go and rather believable. Flat-out fantastic blu-ray as far as A/V goes.

New Police Story - Enjoyed this a lot, thought it was a lot of fun & not really deserving of some of the bad reviews I've seen for the film. Can't expect Jackie to be the Jackie of 20 years ago. Thought the action he did was phenomenal. Movie does get slow it parts but all the Police Story movies do. PQ was very crisp & audio was booming. IMO a solid action movie.

Tropic Thunder and the final season of BSG...loved both.

Also watched The Polar Express (twice) with my son...it was like the tv had a tractor beam on his eyes...he was sucked in...

State Of Play has been sitting on my entertainment center for 2 weeks, I finally got around to seeing it. Not a bad movie. Nice PQ. The audio at the beghinning was tough. A lot of whispering over the cubicle and talking with background noise. I had trouble hearing some of it although that was aggravated by background noise in my house. Excellent rental but probably not a purchase.

Zombie Strippers

Felt almost guilty at how hilarious I thought the film was.

Yesterday I watched Gone With The Wind. The video quality was very impressive for such an old film.

Watched Inglourious Basterds tonight. Even better the second time; noticed lots of little things I didn't pick up on in theaters.
