Jake Gyllenhaal played the son in City Slickers or some part in the movie I remember.

Smashed and American Beauty

Total Recall I would recommend a rental first but since I already own it it's good with Beckinsale as a smoking hot badass

Conan the Barbarian (Scwarzenegger version). Surprisingly good video and sound on that one.

Did they ever correct the error with the music?

Red Dawn (remake) - another movie that didn't really need to be remade. Saw this in the theater and it's OK. Throw in the enemy du jour, an actor hot on the heels of a blockbuster, a few hot chicks, planty of 'splosions and walaah you have an action movie

For that price you should have kept that Game of Thrones set sealed in the shrinkwrap and buy a regular blu-ray set or rent it from Netflix.

Red Dawn

Expected mediocrity and it delivered.

Lincoln

Great acting but a long and boring movie

Wish they would have focused more on his life and not just trying to get the 13th amendment passed though the movie would have been 6 hrs if it was a complete biography.

I felt I was in the minority when I said this. It was tedious. The only thing that saved it for me was the feeling of actually being there. Very rare for a movie to be that transformative.

With DDL and Spielberg you would think it would be a masterpiece and up there with other DDL films like There Will Be Blood and Gangs of New York.

Maybe this does not count since it was Netflix streaming though in HD.

Just watched that one as well and I agree that the PQ and AQ are quite good; no slapdash job like we sometimes see. It was interesting to see how poor the standard studio and FBI warning screens were in compared to the movie itself.

Rock of Ages. Well the one good thing was that it made me want to listen to Journey songs.
