Transformers: Dark Of The Moon

Fun film! I thought it was funny how Rosie Huntington-Whiteley didn't get a lick of dirt on her during the film's finale.

Independence Day Forgot to add this from last weekend. I used to watch it right after fireworks but I had to work Thursday morning so I put it in on Saturday

re: Last BD or 4K UHD disc you watched?

In reverse order, the last few I watched were

Altered States
The River Wild
Pale Rider
Yellow Submarine

Of these, the most disappointing quality-wise was The River Wild. I don't have huge screens but this thing has little depth and apparent edge enhancement that gives much of it a harsh digital look. Probably another old master from Universal.

Pleased with the job Warner did on Altered States.

And while I have no intention of giving up my CDs of the original Beatles mixes, Yellow Submarine really made my jaw drop with how much life is in those old master tapes. (I never owned the DVD so this was my first exposure to surround Beatles).

I purchased the songtrack CD as well.

Joyful Noise put this in my queue because I'm always looking for things my wife and daughter will tolerate. They couldn't. I did make it through but wow this thing was bad. It was a little like Footloose with choir instead of dancing. But I didn't like Footloose either.

Mirror Mirror

It's a cute flick and has Tarsem's great visual flair. Sure, it's nowhere near as good as The Fall but same holds true for Tarsem's other films.

I liked Surrogates probably one of 2 people that liked that movie.

The Vow

Have to wait until I get Lockout from Redbox before I get my man card back since Netflix does not have it.

Batman Begins

It's been a while since I watched this film, but it's still awesome!

Even as a fan of the comics, I never noticed the inclusion of Zsasz's tally marks on his skin until this recent viewing.

The Dark Knight (2008)

No matter how many times I watch it, it puts me in a state of awe and excitement.

Though, I wish that parking garage scene never made it in the final product. It just feels random and clumsy.

The Return Of The Living Dead (1985)

Never thought I'd see the day where I would be watching this film on Blu-Ray with the original soundtrack.
