Boogie nights!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll also get most of that list. Definitely in for NoeS, although part of me thinks they'll delay it until April to coincide with the remake.

Re: Blu-ray release announcements - Part III

I'll be getting all of these at some point:

Galaxy Quest
Forrest Gump
Sphere
Gremlins
Magnolia
Boogie Nights
The Wizard of Oz
The Green Mile
North by Northwest

And maybe these (they would be blind buys):
Heat
Gladiator

yeah...your blind buys would be better than anything you've already seen...i can only imagine watching heat and gladiator in hd...both are visually stunning and have killer audio tracks.

Every time I see a list with that many titles that I want I feel really good and then, after a moment, I'm back to wanting to complain about the titles I still want but aren't out yet.

I wish the studios would pick one person (me) to make up the list of all BD releases for next year.

Yes, that would be a good thing.

As long as your list included some of the titles on my want list like Saving Private Ryan, Memphis Belle and Jurassic Park you'd have my vote.

Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Brugundy, Gladiator and Galaxy Quest are all tentatively planned for Blu-ray release in September, followed by South Park: Bigger, Longer, Uncut likely in October and Forrest Gump in November. And with a little luck, a Star Trek: Next Generation Motion Picture Collection will arrive sometime before the end of the year (likely around the same time as J.J. Abrams' new Star Trek and Star Trek: The Original Series - Season 2 & 3), containing Star Trek: Generations, Star Trek: First Contact, Star Trek: Insurrection and Star Trek: Nemesis.

Also today, sources are telling us to expect Warner to release New Line's Rush Hour on Blu-ray on 7/7, followed by Rush Hour 2 in early August. Also tentatively due in August are Chuck: Season 2, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles - Season 2 and Fringe: Season 1. Additional catalog titles we've been told to expect on Blu-ray before the end of the year from Warner and New Line include Nightmare on Elm Street, Snakes on a Plane, Sphere, Gremlins, Magnolia, Heat, Boogie Nights, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Logan's Run, The Wizard of Oz, Gone with the Wind, The Green Mile, North by Northwest and more (all TBA).
In for Braveheart, South Park: BLU, Gladiator, Gump, Nightmare, Gremlins, Heat, Green Mile, North by Northwest, and both P.T. Anderson titles. Boogie Nights and Heat are two of my most wanted Blu-rays right now. Excellent news.

I'm in for EVERYTHING mentioned in those lists except the Rush Hours, Logan's Run and Sphere. Awesome titles coming out, great news.

On FYE.com for pre-order on 5/12. for $26.13 each.

Bobby Z
Death Sentence
Erin Brockovich
Sophie Scholl
My Best Friend's Wedding

These may be imports, and not U.S. releases, but I am not positive.

My Best Friend's Wedding is definitely not a US release.

Re: Blu-ray release announcements - Part III

Regarding the Bloody-Disgusting article, I'm betting since Amblin (Spielberg) produced the Gremlins films, that's the reason they are going back and re-doing the transfers. Otherwise, WB probably would've sent them out as is.

A few IIRC. I hope the Gremlins TV Pilot pops up as well (it was a cartoon).

"Hannah Montana"!? Who over 12 besides Sam Rubin would give a fuck?

I'll rent "Duplicity" and "Midnight Express". But "Crouching Tiger" is a no brainer purchase.

Re: Blu-ray release announcements - Part III

I thought I remember reading CTHD was initially delayed because the transfer wasn't up to par, hopefully it looks awesome. Haven't seen it in yrs. BR's such a good reason to revisit movies.
