I went to check out Chuck: S2 on Amazon and quickly ordered when I saw the price was only $35. Steal! I was coming here to post it when I realized...
... the geniuses at Warner are using a blue strip at the top of the artwork on the SD release.

For what it's worth DVDEmpire has listed Lord of The Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy BD on their new preorders page. No date, just "Pre-Announce", which I've never seen them do before.

I've seen the Pre-Announce thing there before. Probably there to make sure their regular customers don't go with Amazon since Amazon already has an order page up.

Greetings, Starfighter. An intercepted Star League communication indicates Universal Studios Home Entertainment has nailed down a release date and disc specs for The Last Starfighter on Blu-ray Disc.
The once HD DVD high-def exclusive will come to Blu-ray on August 4 in a 2.35:1 1080p transfer with 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio.
Carrying forward the 25th Anniversary tagline from HD DVD, the Blu-ray edition will include identical supplemental features as its high-def predecessor with the new addition of BD-Live accessibility.
* Heroes of the Screen
* Crossing the Frontier: Making The Last Starfighter
* Feature Commentary with Director Nick Castle and Production Designer Ron Cobb
* Image Gallery
* BD Live Feature - Basic Download Center
* Theatrical Trailer
* Teaser Trailer

According to Digital Bits Fired Up! is coming in a unrated/rated version on 6/9 - great little comedy that no one went to see, but I'll be grabbing it for sure. They also have Knowing listed for 7/7 which I'll be buying as well.

What is "Fired Up!" ? But "Knowing" is a definite purchase here. Love that movie.

It was miles better than the DVD, but I wouldn't have called it amazing. I'm glad they're cleaning it up. I really enjoyed that film.

Meh. Another re-release from Disney that is really not needed. I sold off my BD and kept my DVD copy because the chance of watching it were very slim.

Re: Blu-ray release announcements - Part III
What's the harm, as long as they don't jack the price up (which they haven't been for the regular Disney films, that I've seen) or omit extras? I guess I can see how it wouldn't be as tidy, if you're a purist... but it's nice for me because I've got the only BD player in the house in my PC, so no one else can enjoy the new films I pick up unless there's a DVD bundled with.

Wait....the male version of "Bring it On"? Didn't that bomb at the box-office and get panned by the critics!? If we're talking about the same movie....just surprised there's any interest for that in any format.
