That can't be true, no? I mean, it's only been out in the theaters in the U.S. for a little over two weeks. An April 28th release is a little over 8 weeks. That's pretty quick for a hit film. You'd think they'd milk it for all it's worth before a video release.

Re: Blu-ray release announcements - Part III
From Bloody Disgusting.com
"We learned of some very interesting news that has me jumping for joy. We discovered that Fox Home Entertainment is currently working on brand new Blu-ray releases for Alien, Aliens and Alien 3. Each film is said to be released in a new special edition set with brand new special features made just for these releases! The only concern I have is Fox's lackluster Blu-ray releases, where the quality looks like a simple up-convert as opposed to a brand new transfer (see Predator, Commando, Donnie Darko and numerous others). No release date has been set, but I'm praying we see this before year's end."

The Aliens game was canceled for this yr (it and a new AVP game will be out next yr), so there goes a possible game tie-in... unless they waited for next yr. Hopefully they follow what they did with the X-Men trilogy.

Love both those movies. But I find now that the kids are older neither have any interest in most of the Disney/Pixar/kids stuff. I'll always own a copy of Monsters Inc., but I don't know if it will ever see the light of day again.

Pretty much. It used to be I had to wait for the kids to go to bed to watch action movies. Now I have to wait to watch family fair. My daughter is still more in to it than my son but at 17 going on 18 it's very rare for her to want to watch one like that.

Not diggin the pricing on the Pixar titles ($40 and $41), but Disney knows they can charge a premium on them and they'll still sell...

Hopefully, the retailers will also price these as if they were regular catalog titles.
