All 3.46 million copies sold of Metal Gear Solid 4 have been on a BD-50.

Wow that's a big bite out of BD50 replication.

I checked my LBP and it appears to be single layer.

Did anyone ever mention The Duchess is coming out on December 29th? I had been wanting to see it and it's still playing at a local theatre but I can easily wait a month to see it on Blu-ray.

This has not been made widely known but it appears "The Robe" will be coming out on Blu-ray around Easter of 2009. They have done a full restoration on the original source elements.

So glad this is on BD this quick. One of 2008's very best films IMO. Can't wait to get my hands on it.

Refresh my drink. Is "The Rundown" with the Rock? If so, I agree. A lot of fun.

The Rundown is the Peter Berg movie that stars The Rock and Sean William Scott.. never got around to getting the HD DVD, so I'll pick up the BD for sure. That movie is really fun.

Rundown was decent...Doom however *barf*

So what big Rock movie comes out that day on BD/DVD? Seems odd to have two Rock films on the same day.

Doom was one of my 5 freebies with my player. I haven't bothered opening it yet. I saw the movie once already on SD.

There was another Universal 3 pack planned for the same week (which would make sense given what holiday is a few days after). I really hope that one didn't get pushed. One of them was a title most people didn't pick up on HD DVD since the format kinda died.

I just hope this doesn't mean another year of next to no new Uni catalog.

Don't get me wrong - I'm glad for many of them but some new catalog releases would be nice.

I think we're going to get plenty of new catalog titles from Universal next year. But at the same time, they're going to try and release as many of the "catch up" titles as well.

Definitely in for The Rundown. I have Doom on DVD but don't think I care enough to rebuy that one.

Flash of Genius has been announced for February 17, but all I see so far is DVD. Is it coming to BD, or is Universal passing it over?

I had thought perhaps a January 20th release was in the cards, considering that will be his last day in office and it just so happened to fall on a Tuesday...
