Exactly what I thought they would do. Just have the retailers replace the discs and slap a new sticker over the old UPC.

Just type what you see on the inner ring. I have my "bad" copy from Paramount so I can compare if you received the "good" one.

The "new" ones were probably made at a different factory so that is probably correct. There should be two set of numbers and two barcodes though (since its a BD50)

I wonder if all new discs are blue and the old disc is gray?

I'm expecting fingerprints on disc 1. No big deal though. I have a nice microfiber cloth at home that will get rid of that. If it happens...

Could be blue because a certain factory pressed the disc. IIRC, both Sony and Cinram were the ones making replacements so its very likely one changed the color and the other didn't. That's why I posted my numbers...just in case.

I like the blue disc rather than the boring gray that Paramount has been using as of late. I wish they would liven up their discs a bit with some color.

I just got back from Target (for the exclusive). I got a blue disc with the AC11 number noted above.

My copy should be arriving today from Amazon - should be interesting to see what's actually in the box.

My Target only had 4 copies of the BD out but had some more in the back. The packaging was all beat to shit, but the girl that helped me was very nice and brought me out a fresh copy from the back.

I noticed right away the UPC sticker over the regular UPC on the back so hopefully that signifies a corrected disc.

Ok, I just came back from Best Buy with the BD gift set (featuring the bust, the comics, and the Sideshow gift card). I have one question though. I can see the UPC code on the back of the actual BD case through the window of the packaging, and it is 032429052100.

This does not seem to be match either the defective UPC or the new UPC that people are reporting ...

Anyone know if this UPC I got signifies a fixed copy?

BD gift set?? I thought that set was only available for the DVD. That's all that's shown on the Best Buy website . . .

Best Buy Canada had it in BD.

The "fixed" copies have a UPC sticker over the back of the case.

There seems to be alot of curiosity about this release. Hahaha

So here are some pics from my iPhone.

I got mine from Amazon, and just picking it up, I know I have the right disc. Ha

This is the crappy "saran wrap" type shrink wrap.

This image shows the UPC Sticker, applied to the plastic cover, NOT the actual insert. If you look REALLY REALLY REALLY close (iPhone pic isnt the best quality) you can see the original Security seal below the new one.

The Discs vary slightly in back color with the new Disc 1 being darker.

The front of disc 1 is Blue while the front of disc 2 is Grey. Not sure if that is how the original was.

Side note, the slip cover is actually a SLIP cover, it is a little big for the case.

Just a heads up, Best Buy is running a promo on their Web Site where you save $10 if you get Iron Man and Indiana Jones 4 Blu Rays.

So basically, Iron Man is $25.99 and then IJ is $19.99 which is a really decent deal. I decided to do this and do in store pickup. They're also shipping me a free lithograph for free...

Woo.

I got my copy at Best Buy and all of theirs appear to be fresh from the studio. The new upc is covering the old one on the back, but there's no repackaging of any kind showing. With Best Buy likely getting more copies than anyone, maybe Paramount gave them brand new copies and had other stores do the disc exchange.

Can anyone who bought the BD gift set from Best Buy Canada chime in with what UPC code they see on the back of the actual BD case inside? Seems like the Canadian UPCs are all different, and even the exclusive editions have different UPCs ...

I picked up the Future Shop Steelbook edition this morning and the discs are reddish/orange with arc reactor like artwork on them...disc 1 and 2 look the same but they certainly aren't just blue and grey.

Watched the movie and the PQ and AQ were EXCELLENT. Paramount did a great job. I'm assuming I got a fixed disc, but of note is the first time I tried to load it on my PS3, it froze on the loading screen...after I rebooted, it played perfectly. Really happy with this release.

Why did Target have to put that pain in the ass security sticker directly on the SE head? this will be a pain in the ass to get off.
