It was $4 to ship Tudors to me in California. It depends on the size and IIRC, Tudors is slightly thicker than a normal BD while Battlestar HD DVD is a big cardboard case (like Matrix Trilogy) since it uses individual cases and not the stupid cardboard circle like here in the states.

Of course it is. Right after I ordered from Borders for $5 more. Oh well, $5 isn't worth the hassle of cancelling.

Nice. Is Fox finally getting a clue and dropping catalogue prices?

I hope so. These appear to still be part of the buy 2, get 1 free sale as well.

But it's a bummer that the "at least 30%" discount at Amazon has apparently gone away.

The Blu-ray page now reads:
"Blu-ray
Save up to 40% on over 1,000 Blu-ray Discs"

Earlier this month:
"Blu-ray
Save at Least 30% on All Blu-ray Movies & TV"

Most of these have already been touched on, but "slightly cheaper buying through bestbuy.com and selecting 'Store Pickup'" deals, figured a list couldn't hurt:

Online:
$25.99 - Speed Racer (Blu) (Store Price: $27.99)
$25.99 - The Love Guru (Blu) (Store Price: $29.99)
$23.99 - Made of Honor (Blu) (Store Price: $29.99)
$23.99 - 88 Minutes (Blu) (Store Price: $29.99)
$21.99 - The Mist (Blu) (Store Price: $29.99)

Knocked up and 40 Year old Virgin are listed as $24.99 in their current ad despite not being available in stores until 9/30/2008. The online price is $18.99, not sure that will hold. 1408 is also $24.99, don't know how much it is in stores.

Most of these may be findable cheaper elsewhere, but for information purposes:

$14.99 Titles:

Every Which Way But Loose, The Gauntlet, Under Siege 2: Dark Territory, Outbreak, Eraser, Vengeance, The Proposition, The Hills Have Eyes 2 Unrated, Enter the Dragon, The Omega Man, The Aviator, The Shining, A Clockwork Orange, Wyatt Earp, The Road Warrior, Alexander, March of the Penguins, Bullitt, Chain Reaction, Scooby-Doo, Beerfest, House of Wax, Swordfish, The Fugitive, Total Recall, Terminator 2, The Sentinel, Courage Under Fire, Men of Honor, Kiss of the Dragon, Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter (Pre-order)

$19.99 Titles:

Shoot 'em up, The Invasion, Pan's Labyrinth, Dirty Dancing, King of New York, Ocean's 13, Return to House on Haunted Hill, Troy, We Are Marshall, Waiting..., Van Wilder, Doctor Strange, 300, Bruce Springsteen: Live in Dublin, Basic Instinct, Reservoir Dogs, 16 Blocks, Bubble, Firewall, Alice Cooper Live, Elvis Costello Live, Black Crowes, Toto Live, Pat Metheny Group Live, American Psycho, Saw, Saw II

Risky Business is also available at bestbuy.com for $18.99, versus $24.99 in store.

Figures: the rest of that junk is available for pick-up, but the Mist isn't. Thanks for the heads up, anyway.

It's also pretty annoying that out of all those $14.99 and $19.99 titles, which have sale markers stuck all over the section, the BB here has only had a handful of the titles in stock since the start of the sale.

The Sarah Marshall and American Gangster 3 packs are also $44. Unfortunately tax and shipping jack that up to $50 for me...

Thanks! There are a bunch of great prices on pre-orders with this code. Some prices with the code before tax and shipping:

Band of Brothers $48.99
Individual James Bond titles (Dr. No, Thunderball, etc) $17.14
Indiana Jones 4 $19.59
Wall-E $17.63

The Band of Brothers, James Bond singles, and Wall-E don't have Blu-ray in the listing, but based on the MSRP it must be them. I've sent an email to Wherehouse to confirm.

I will be cancelling my Amazon pre-order for James Bond Collection 2 and get it from Wherehouse.
Using a similar code last Nov/Dec for several pre-orders, I had good luck receiving them on release day or the day after from Wherehouse.

Amazon is having another Buy 2 Get 1 Free deal, but this appears to be open to ALL Blu-rays, including pre-orders. I couldn't really find it advertised, but I was sent an email with the deal: http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.htm...1000272741&-20

When I submitted my order, the discount was NOT applied to any of the orders, but I sent an email explaining the situation and got this reply:

Thank you for writing to us at Amazon.com.

I'm sorry that our promotional offer was not applied to your order.

Regarding the order#xxxxx:

To correct this error, I've Zeroed the cost of item "The Third Man [Blu-ray]".

Regarding the order#xxxxx:

To correct this error, I've Zeroed the cost of item "The Man Who Fell to Earth
[Blu-ray]".

Regarding the order#xxxxxx:

To correct this error, I've Zeroed the cost of item "Iron Man (Ultimate Two-Disc
Edition) [Blu-ray]".

Regarding the order#xxxxxx:

To correct this error, I've Zeroed the cost of item "Sukiyaki Western Django
[Blu-ray]]".

Please be assured that this promotional offer have been applied to this order
now.

If you have any further concerns, please write back to us ...
So, as you can tell by my freebies, this is NOT like the past Buy 2 Get 1 Free offers. Not sure how long this deal will last, but I think I can get used to it.

Sucks that I placed an order on Tuesday for a few items that already shipped...but just put in another one for a few TV sets and hope this discount will get applied.

It appears Fox has lowered the retail price down to $34.99 on many more catalog titles, including Master and Commander, Patton, Die Hard movies, I, Robot and others. Amazon has reflected these and I was in Target yesterday and they also had made the change.

There are now 3 name brand BD players under $300.

Amazon.com has the Sony BDP-S350 for $295, Samsung BD-P1500 for $277, and the Panasonic DMP-BD30 for $276.

The Sony BDP-S300 is also $199. It's a decent unit, although it's profile 1.0. But I believe the latest firmware allows for TrueHD decoding.
