Referring to the Amazon sale? It was working for pre-orders; 2 of my 3 titles are pre-orders. It seems that Amazon isn't responding to the adjustment requests by customers anymore. I sent an email to them last night at around midnight and got a response within minutes; now, people don't seem to be getting responses.

I've gotten three different responses from three different Amazon CSRs about the buy 2 get 1 free. One tried to tell me that it was on specific titles (lie). Another actually took the titles I had already pre-ordered and cancelled them and then readjusted my new order to supposedly have the Austin Powers set to be free. And the last CSR that I called continued insisting to me that the price will be adjusted to the best price when the item ships. She kept referring to the Price Match Guarantee clearly showing me that she missed the boat entirely. I think that I tried to explain to her three different ways that I'm not talking about a price match but rather a three for two deal which she seemed oblivious to. I told her that I had to go because I had something come up and needed to call back later. It seems that this is not a guaranteed deal. I guess it depends entirely on who you talk to or what CSR you get to deal with your situation. Now I hope that the one order I did get adjusted: Godfather Collection (BD), Unrated Comedy Collection (BD) and Austin Powers Collection (BD) actually happens as it is supposed to. I will get charged for the first two sets and receive the Austin Powers set for free upon release. Although I am still a bit skeptical because despite being told that the set will be free it still shows in my order that the price will be emailed to me before release so that I can agree to it. I'm going to give it a day or so and then call back to make sure that my account has been properly noted so that I receive the Austin Powers set at no extra charge. Two months from now is a long time for them to act like it is business as usal and to treat it like a regular order. I wanted to do another order for 2 sets of Band of Brothers (BD) and a copy of Lost: Season 4 (BD) but that ended when I dealt with that last CSR and I just had to hang up.

I called again and the next CSR told me that she did get an email this morning and they're working to get this sale fully functional on the website. I did get my order of 2 BOB sets and one LOST: Season 4 adjusted to get one of the BOB sets for free. One hour of time is is worth 60 dollars worth of free product.

An email, clearly describing the order, what went wrong, and what they need to do to fix it, is much quicker, and usually more effective.
Never call.
Edit to add this OT comment: Am considering deleting one old post of mine for every new post, to stay on this cool post count of 7,777.

If it is something that is an obvious glitch then don't call. This is not a glitch so there is no problem with calling. Now, Amazon could change their mind about the sale and delete it at anytime so you better get your order in. You never know how long any any of their sales are going to last.

But an email could also simply be "overlooked" and nothing actually be done to fix your order. Then you have to argue after the fact to get them to fix the price. This way I saw an immediate adjustment to the total price that I would be charged for the items ordered. Now, I did go ahead and actually pay for shipping on each item since some of the items are more than a month apart on release dates.

Amazon has always been really good about answering emails. My response last night came less than an hour after I sent it, so I don't think many emails are overlooked. This is an online retailer; they expect more email than phone calls.

I sure hope so. I just feel more comfortable talking to someone and having something done immediately. I just sent and email off to WHV to cancel a few pre-orders and I'm expecting to have to call them to actually get it done. I tried already and they're closed.

Worked for me. I ordered Transformers, The Mist, and 1408, rang up without the B2G1. I sent an email to customer service and they actually refunded me the amount of the highest price disc, which was Transformers at $24.95.

So it looks like the Criterions are a great value.
Matrix and Dirty Harry are not good values in the sale (based on the available prices at WHV). Likewise, Godfather and Band of Brothers do seem like a good deal.
Any other really good options?

Just got an email as well and they took off one of my titles... I bought Torchwood:s1, Universal Unrated Comedy collection (sarah marshall etc.) and Damages:s1 - Damages was free... SWEET. May have to order Band of Brothers, Lost:s4 and something else.

Took a shot at Ironman, Incredible Hulk, and Wall-E. If it goes through, that's $19 a piece.
Now to sit back and wait.
