I'm wondering how the tracking number works with amazon. When I copied and pasted my tracking number from amazon (for a different purchase) into UPS, it doesn't recognize it as a valid number. Also, my shipment is taking longer now that I've actually paid for shipping than when I go with FREE shipping. That's kind of frustrating.
So is the amazon tracking number limited to amazon only and not an actual UPS number? If that's so, there's no real way to track it anyway is there?

Any tracking number you receiver from Amazon UK will almost certainly not be a UPS tracking #.
If you went with their standard Air Mail option, they may have put a Royal Mail tracking # on it. If that's what happened, the number *might* be traceable once it hits the USPS system domestically, but that can vary.
I will say I've ordered from Amazon UK about 20-30 times in the past few years, and I've never had a package not arrive. They usually show up within a calendar week from the time of shipment. Depending on where you are in the US, it could take more or less time.
If you're talking about domestic Amazon.com tracking, remember UPS tracking numbers typically start with 1Z. USPS numbers are usually al numeric and at least 20 digits long. Fedex and DHL numbers are usually all numeric but maybe only 9-10 digits.

Got it today! Fantastic PQ. I noticed my ps3 was playing it in Dolby and not TrueHD....you have to go to the languages/settings and select it on Dolby TrueHD. I've noticed that many of the WB titles don't have a title menu aka movie just starts playing. I don't have a problem with it. Steel Book looks superb! Highly Recommended.

My Sweeney Todd was estimated to be delivered on June 10th. I still haven't gotten anything, and I've never gotten anything from amazon as late as the estimated delivery date. I always get it earlier. Should I be concerned?

Okay. I got tired of waiting for eBay and ended up ordering from Amazon.co.uk instead. Hey at least I get bonus points on my Amazon card! Now the waiting begins...

(At least I get one point per dollar!)

if it's an incentive, the eventual US edition WONT be the unrated cut that this version is. (it's a smidgen of more gore, but at least it's not the MPAA approved R-rated cut)

I can't believe I spent $40 on ONE DVD. Worth every penny, though. I'm a few minutes in and the picture quality is amazing.
It came with the steel bent to hell along the spine so I'll be contacting Amazon for a replacement. The disc was loose but I couldn't see any scratches (although I'll be looking again under a better light, and there was a dust particle stuck to it (couldn't blow it away)).
As an aside, everything light looks wonderful on the PS3 but I get a lot of grain sometimes with darks... i.e. in the first scene where we see the sky (before the boat) there's a ton of grain that falls away to the sides... is it supposed to be that way? Backgrounds sometimes are very grainy. I.e. when he enters the pie show and we get a shot of him at the door, the background has a lot of grain.

I finally got mine today. Haven't had a chance to look at it, but I can't wait to pop it in tonight. Some friends of mine and I are going to have a Blu-ray Sweeney Todd viewing party. We all went together to see it in the theater, and we all watched it together on DVD. This time, with the Blu-ray, we're going to cook beef pot pies (meat pies) and bloody mary's.

I popped this in for just a few minutes last night. I didn't get home till after 1 a.m. and had to be up again at 7:00 a.m., so I didn't get to spend much time with it, but after reading all the glowing reviews, I had high expectations. I can truthfully say that those expectations were greatly exceeded. This is a beautiful picture.

Okay, I'm about to bite, but I have a question: why isn't the VAT coming off of the Amazon.co.uk price? I'm not buying through a secondary source, so shouldn't this be deducted from the cost?
