Yikes! $42 is a bit too much for me for a movie I have never seen. Guess I'll wait for Paramount on this one.

I ordered this over the weekend from amazon UK. Is there a really noticeable difference in watching a Blu-ray in PAL? Since it's 1080p, I know we don't have to deal with the compatibility issues, but what about the 25fps? Is it distracting?

Mine arrived saturday from Xploited Cinema, picked it up today from PO Box. Now I want more Blu ray steelbooks. Think they have an Ironman steel book coming out whenever the movie is released on dvd

in almost all cases, the feature is encoded at 1080p24 on the disc, so there is no 25fps issue. conversion to 1080p50 for european displays is done in the european market players - it is not present on the disc.

My order from Amazon.uk is still in "dispatch mode" I'm about to cancel it. Rumor has it, that it's OOS.

Maybe that's why they seem to be going to a 3rd party for it.

Mine came directly from Amazon and had VAT removed, but more recent orders as mentioned did not.

My guess is the steelbook is limited and a standard version will replace it.

Hmm ya more than likely. I still never got a notice from them saying it was back ordered. I just figured they would be anxious to get my $$. Dispatch is estimated between June 2-4 I placed it on the 23rd. A lot of people on Blu-ray.com got theirs shipped the next day. So...who knows.

Can you point me in the direction of one of these? I actually liked the movie.

I compensated by bringing my lunch to work, instead of going out like I normally do...

sendit.com has it in stock and shipped it out within 12 hours for me... I believe it was 17.98ukp + 1.60 shipping.

They're pretty darn quick too... they ship Royal Air Mail (from N. Ireland) and I usually get stuff within a week here in Texas.

Throw Transformers: The Movie in your cart for 7.98 while you're at it too!

Here are the ones I know of. I'm not really sure about the regions or subtitles on the Amazon.de titles.

(Play.com) 10,000 BC

(Amazon.uk) Sweeney Todd

(Amazon.de) I Am Legend - alternate cover from Futureshop version

(Amazon.de) John Rambo

(Amazon.de) Pan's Labyrinth
