I think you guys *might* be overreacting. I don't see anything offensive about that assessment. I haven't seen 21, but based on what others have said whose opinion I trust, it doesn't sound like 21 was that good at all.
Also, everyone has stupid titles in their collection - it's a slippery slope to start calling people out on that stuff.
Beer League?

Hopefully we can end the derailment before it gets worse.

I didn't mean for my comment to be "elitist." Sorry if my wording seemed that way, I was just trying to differentiate a Hollywood-ized movie geared towards the 15-25 group from David Mamet. No harm, no foul.

That said, I was surprised that I liked 21 a lot more than I expected to. But it's hardly in the same league as House of Games.

It's obvious that House of Games is aimed at a much more intelligent movie audience than 21.

But I still love Magnolia and would welcome both of those to BD.

Also in the Sci-Fi TV genre, Stargate Continuum (another sequel movie to the 10 season Stargate SG-1 series) has been announced for BD, 7-29-08. At the usual Fox MSRP of $39.98. That's a high price for a movie sequel to a TV series. While I won't buy the DVD, I will wait for a deal to pick the BD up at a reasonable price.

Gotcha -- that's good to know. From what I've read elsewhere, the "SmileBox" presentation -- on a flat screen surface -- actually helps to "un-distort" the image, as it would otherwise appear warped on the sides, due to the shape of the camera lens. I'd imagine, though, that anyone with either a curved screen and/or a black bar masking system would be pretty much driven up the wall trying to compensate for the "SmileBox" picture shape. It's good that WB is also including a rectangular version.
