I just got a notice from Amazon that Bee Movie won't ship until 6/3. I wonder if it's getting bumped back to release the same time as TWBB and Cloverfield.

Hey, Guys?

I thought 'Night of the Living Dead' was going to hit BD this coming week?

Has anyone seen any advance reviews of this title?

The release is supposed to be the vague "later this year".

I got that as well, and it sucks.

I find it odd that they're not waiting to tie in with the Bush movie later this year, but that makes it 3 Oliver Stone movies this summer.

So what's up with Disney charging $35 for upcoming catalogue titles?

Hoping the transfer on Nixon is a good one... don't really care if it's the DC or not.

Disney upped the price of all future catalog titles $5 starting with National Treasure. Signs follows this pricing as well.

Disney to consumers:

"We've upped our prices -- up YOURS!"

Oh, wait . . . crap -- I think I already used that joke here somewhere.

They're still less expensive than Fox, so glass half full?! And at least Disney BDs tend to have exceptional PQ and AQ with extras.

You tend to find Disney titles on sale a lot more often than Fox, too. And with those snazzy $10 off coupons and so forth.

Yes, that's what I was pointing out. Why did they do this? We're supposed to be going the other direction...

Oh I think we all know the answer there. Not a great discussion for the announcements thread.

PQ and AQ are great on Disney/Buena titles but catalog ones usually have SD extras. I just got Signs and all extras are SD.

Oh MAN! Angel Heart!

I hope Ghost Dog gets announced soon. And I'd love to see T2 and Total Recall get reissued.

Might be a while, but I need Extreme Prejudice and Johnny Handsome in 16:9 on Blu.

I don't see an issue with that since they were done several years ago. I certainly don't want them dropping extras that can't be replaced because they're not HD.

I actually prefer SD extras because they don't take much space away from the movie. For 2-disc sets they're fine, but we know that many titles are just going to get one disc.

We have 50GB discs now, there is plenty of room for HD extras.
Space shouldn't be an issue.

I hope this is the appropriate place to ask this, but any idea about Kill Bill on Blu? I am so eagerly awaiting to get Blu on KB

Except if you have long movies encoded at high bit rates with multiple high bitrate audio tracks.

The extra space will also allow titles like King Kong and Transformers to finally receive lossless audio, something that they couldn't have before.
