Re: Blue Underground and Synapse Films to release on Blu-ray

It looks like Synapse is almost sold out of the limited edition, so anyone interested should probably place an order while they still can.

Yeah, some posters on blu-ray.com are getting numbers in the mid to upper 400 range.

Yeah, I'm the one who brought that thread back to the top. Got my copy yesterday (ordered last week) and it was 459/500

That's impressive, I didn't think it would sell out so quickly.

I hopped on the deal pretty quickly because I had no idea how long it would take for Synapse to sell 500 copies. People who enjoy cult films can be a pretty ravenous lot.

I would have jumped on it if it wasn't a shitty DVD-R. I avoid them like the plague.

I don't think a workprint would look any better on a pressed DVD.

For those who don't frequent the bargains forum:

Per Undeadcow's thread, Deep Discount is offering several Synapse blus (including Frankenhooker, Vampire Circus, The Dorm That Dripped Blood, The Exterminator & others) for under $10.

BUT THE BOTTOM OF THE DISC IS BLUE. Can't you see what an outrage that is?

That empty space where other people store their sleeved DVD-R is so valuable to you that you would avoid something you can sit and watch for 90 minutes?

I wonder when/if Night Train Murders will drop to $15.99.

Re: Blue Underground and Synapse Films to release on Blu-ray

I just noticed this on the bluray.com forum. Apparently horror movie empire as a massive BU sale this week. $10 each:

http://www.shop.horrormovieempire.co...ground_c56.htm

I've never ordered from there before, but couldn't pass up on some these for $10 each. Especially since these retail for almost 4x that up here in Canada.

There's a whole thread over in the Blu-ray Bargain forum about the sale.

Reverse art for Thou Shalt Not Kill...Except:

I wish Intruder included reverse art of the theatrical poster, it's far better than that hideous Synapse cover.

Sadly, I've never seen the film, but that artwork is killer!

I've heard it's a pretty brutal film - I've not seen it either, but it will be a blind buy.
