That's a great video and I will buy this, but not at $35. $20 -$23 and I'm probably bite.

Re: Blue Underground and Synapse Films to release on Blu-ray

I really hope we get some more U.S. stuff next year from BU - I enjoy the Giallo films, but I much prefer the American slasher/exploitation titles. Q: The Winged Serpent and God Told Me To are slated for 2012, but I'm also hoping for an HD upgrade on Deathdream and a release of Joseph Zito's Bloodrage (1979). I'd take Blood Rage (1987) too!

I sent amazon the link, maybe they will match it.
Thanks for the tip, I did the same thing.

I'd gladly grab Deathdream on Blu.

We need more Bob Clark on Blu-Ray...

I'm not sure the world is crying out for Baby Geniuses 2 or The Karate Dog on Blu-ray, but I'd take an improved Black Christmas or Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things.

Forget Bob Clark, I'm waiting on some Alan Clarke from Blue Underground, I'd love to see Scum and Made In Britain hit blu.

It's weird - that Clarke box has been out of print forever, yet it's still in-stock at most e-tailers.

Granted, I agree with you that not everything he did was gold (to say the least, anyway), but with only A Christmas Story and Black Christmas available on Blu-Ray (with Black Christmas being from an unrestored print), it wouldn't hurt to see some more of his stuff on the format.

Did the same thing, now that it's $15.99 at that link.

Now if only someone would knock Zombie down to that price.

Could I actually be on the verge of placing an order with - gasp! - Deep Discount?? I'll have to wait until the last minute in the hopes that Amazon matches.

Just ordered a copy of The Exterminator from Diabolik DVD. I've never seen it so I'm pretty excited to check it out.

Re: Blue Underground and Synapse Films to release on Blu-ray

the new issue of Entertainment Weekly gave the Torso blu-ray release a B-, I was surpirsed to see it in there and getting such a high grade, also surprised they didn't get the word from Blue Undergrounds publicist that its not being released this week.

Re: Blue Underground and Synapse Films to release on Blu-ray

For anyone interested in the upcoming Synapse titles, Family Video has the cheapest prices:

Maniac Cop - $13.99
The Exterminator - $16.99

They don't list Frankenhooker yet, but assumedly it will be $16.99 as well. The 10th Victim is also $16.99, which makes it the cheapest as DD and Planet have raised their price to $19.xx, and Amazon doesn't seem to be dropping theirs to the customary BU pre-order price of $15.99. Use the code LABORDAY for free shipping.

I might bite for Maniac Cop at that price...

Just got finished watching the BD of The Exterminator. Very happy with the picture and audio quality. Everyone that picks this up should be pleasantly surprised.

Very nice indeed. The LABORDAY shipping code still works at Family Video btw, I just used it to order The 10th Victim, Maniac Cop and The Exterminator for $47.98 shipped.

Do they charge you upfront or when ships?

Just pre-ordered The Exterminator and was able to use the LABORDAY code for free shipping. Nice price.

No interest in Maniac Cop? I'm still irritated they didn't port over the commentary.

^ I tried to watch 'The Exterminator' but lost interest in it, nearly ten minutes into it ... might give it a rental and give a second chance.
