For anyone curious about Vampire Circus, it can currently be watched through Netflix streaming.

it's also dropped to $21.99 on amazon...i'd advise everyone to pre-order this just to help show support for synapse so we can get more titles from them in the future.

I'm hoping that it's release overlaps with the 25% off sale at DD.

Vampire Circus is a fun movie! I've watched through a good chunk of it on Netflix.

Blu-ray.com review of Maniac

Of course, Netflix won't be carrying the Blu-ray. Do they have an aversion to BU Blu-rays or something? All of them are unavailable.

I've gotten a number of BU Blu-Rays, including Living Dead at Manchester Morgue and New York Ripper.

I've been able to rent them in the past too, but they're all unavailable now.

I'm a bit surprised at the poor marks given to the film's transfer. I figured Lustig would have given his own film the best treatment possible.

Re: Blue Underground and Synapse Films to release on Blu-ray

I'm buying it either way, though I'm debating pre-ordering from Amazon to get it in time for Halloween - they just dropped the price another dollar to $17.99 - or wait until the DD sale in November, when it would be $16.02 after 25% discount. They way they've been with their sales the last year or so though, there's no guarantee that it'll be that price, or be part of the sale. There might not even BE a sale, other than this "Awesome" October fiasco.

If I can score it for a good price, I'll definitely pick it up.

I love the film and would definitely double-dip for those extras.

Re: Blue Underground and Synapse Films to release on Blu-ray

So that's 9 titles so far for 2011:

Zombie
House by the Cemetery
The Cat O' Nine Tails
Inferno
Deep Red
Quiet Days in Clinchy
Daughters of Darkness
God Told Me To
Q: The Winged Serpent

BU released 11 titles in 2010 and 10 in 2009, so I assume we can expect another one or two next year. Has there been any speculation on other possible releases? Checking on DVDAf, I noticed they own the rights to Joseph Zito's Bloodrage. Perhaps that will be one of them.

That is an awesome lineup of films on BD in 2011.

I already own two different copies of Zombi 2. Might as well add another.

I emailed BU and they have no plans for Bloodrage.
