WoW!! Just got a confirmation email from Amazon CS saying they will adjust and credit my CC for the $16.92. Took about 10 minutes total turnaround time. Impressive.

I submitted a bunch of request in different e-mails, and received a bulk response. I requested refunds on a bunch of BOGO's I placed, but in all honest did not expect them to do anything. (Technically, they don't have to according to their policy.)
Anyhow, I ended up receiving $160 back on a ton of ordered discs. I think they missed a couple that I requested, but that's no big deal. I only expected $8 for Superbad.

Since your purchase shipped within the past 30 days, I've requested
a refund of $42.84 to your credit card. This amount reflects the
difference between the price you were charged for the item and the
lowest recent price offered by Amazon.com. This refund should be
processed in the next few days and will appear as a credit on your
next billing statement.

Question: is it normal for them to refund the difference while disregarding the 10% discount? For example, I'm getting $7.96 back for Superbad even though the new price is only around $5 less than what I paid (since I had the discount).

Well, I sent 20 email price adjustment requests. I got 18 out of 20 rebate request notices. 2 of them never arrived for some reason. But when I checked the invoices on amazon.com the missing 2 were applied. So, check to see if you got your credit applied before you call.
This all took about 5 hours to go thru. All 33 adjustments were accepted. They even did 1 adjustment for 4 items I purchased more than 50 days ago giving me a 1 time exemption. (something tells me that it being within the holiday return period had something to do with granting that exemption).
Amazing job amazon! If all goes well, I should get $215.41 back!

I was pleasantly surprised to get a refund for $8.46 (only 1 title out of the 2 went down). I think I sent the email via their Contact Us button around noon yesterday the refund email was timestamped around 10PM last night.

Do not send emails. Even if you are over the 30 days, you can get refunds if you actually talk to somebody. I posted about this in another thread

^I sent an e-mail about a price reduction at 31 days and the CSR said he used the shipping date to get me in under 30 days.
It appears that most have figured out how to contact Amazon one way or another, but the easiest is explained by Kyle in this post:

You can step through your orders using the arrows next to "More Orders" at the upper left of the contact page.

Plus the 1 time I did call, It took 30 min to explain to the CS person what I was trying to do. She never really got it and was going to refer it up the chain. So I got off the phone, sent an email and it was taken care of within an hour.
I agree live service might be better for the complex transaction. But for simple stuff like a price adjustment, I would think email is quicker and easier.

I just got two separate refunds for about $5 each when I placed 2 orders of 2 HD-DVDs each a few weeks ago with the BOGO (Serenity and Casino).
Quick and painless.
I love Amazon.
Now, here's to hoping there are some good deals on clearanced HD-DVDs now through Amazon!

I sent an email saying I bought two HD DVDs in the B1G1 sale, and the price of each was lowered by about $5. I got an original email saying they were going to request a refund of $10 for both movies, but then they must've caught on because I got a final email today saying they credited my account $5. I'm happy: two movies for $14.99.
