Why must they only have an accent to give you the refund?

You'd have to ask the person that originally posted it on SD. My guess? Uninformed offshore help desk.

I just e-mailed them and they refunded me. Did it for 2 orders. No need to listen for an accent. LOL.

Trading Places for $14.99 - Jamie Lee Curtis topless in Hidef - priceless .

I might have to turn in my man card, but I'm still on the fence, but I would've jumped on it if it were BOGO.

To get a refund on both BOGO titles: apparently offshore CSR's don't always realize one of the titles was free and will often give you a refund on both if they've dropped. If you don't care about that (or only one dropped), any CSR will do, I believe.

I got my price difference refunds on many of my purchases including the free titles from both my HD and Blu ray from the B1G1F sales. .....and the customer service rep did have an accent... I think they were oriental and not indian....either way I got the refunds just as the sale was ending...so my last 4 titles didn't make it in...but I still saved a boatload. ...Thanks everyone!

This sale looks like it has ended. Perhaps now we'll get another B1G1F.

You do realize Amazon has a 30 day price guarantee... it doesn't matter who you talk to, if the price is lower on their site within 30 days of order they will refund the difference. Did this twice on the A3 HD-DVD Player when the price kept dropping.... each time had a non-accented American customer assistant.
Now maybe your trying to get refunds outside the window, so you going with your method.

Right, but usually the price does not drop below $0. People have reported that outsourced CSR's are more likely to refund on both titles in the BOGO, including the one you received for free.

Yeppers. Too bad for me, too. I have Casino and Stardust in my cart right now, but I held off on pulling the trigger since Stardust was going to be a blind buy.

I used a promo coupon this very morning to get a "free" one-night DVD rental from the Kroger Red Box -esque kiosk machine and I have Stardust SD sitting in my car right now. I was going to watch it tonight... if I liked it enough to want to own it for $22+ in HD, I would have done so. If not, I was going to throw a pair of $11 earbuds into my cart (that I've been looking at for a few days) to get to $25 for free shipping.

Of course the sale expired this morning. Oh well, you snooze, you lose.

to be honest, you'll probably get another chance at a cheaper Stardust
