Yeah, She was just very "Nexus 6" looking.... extremely humanoid. Wheras most of his toys had some form of "twist" (little people, bears, etc.).

You're are probably right that she was a toy, but it really caught my eye. Probably the best deleted scene I saw, and it wasnt even in the deleted scenes! Check it out if you get a chance, she appears about halfway through the segment.

Her hand was floating on top of the water's surface, to imply she was dead I think.... very odd. Why would Sebastians toy get killed?

Maybe she was never finished, or the lack of real life in the toy made it look dead when inert.

You didn't miss him, he wasn't in it. I don't think anyone has said why, but I would guess it was just a time/scheduling issue.

I finally got around to opening my HD-DVD set over the weekend, and like some others, the 5th disc in the case was loose. It had a fair share of scratches on it, but I was able to play through the workprint and the All Our Variant Futures doc just fine, so I guess it's ok. Really interesting stuff about the work they did for the Final Cut, like getting Ben Ford to lip-sync his dad's lines in one particular scene, and getting Joanna Cassidy back for the Zhora reshoot. I was also quite surprised at the relatively good video quality of the workprint as well.

Did you notice a greenish blue haze on the top and bottom of the screen on the workprint version?

Yes I did. But still, the video quality seemed to be relatively good for a workprint. I'm wondering how many people got a loose/scratched disc 5 in their HD-DVD set ...

My disc 5 was loose in my Blu-ray set, but the disc was unscratched. My dad's HD DVD copy had a loose 5th disc with scratches.

Hey fellas, this may be a really foolish question but I have to ask it here to get a good, direct answer:

I've never seen Blade Runner before, and have never read too much about it just in case I brought myself to acquiring it on DVD/high Def one day. I recently got a 42 inch panasonic and a ps3, is the Blu Ray Blade Runner a good bet???

If you are even a minor fan of Sci-Fi both the Blade Runner and the Close Encounters of the Third Kind sets should be picked up. Two of the greatest Sci-Fi films ever made presented in fantastic collections with every cut of the films possible. I hate to recommend classic films anymore since so many people seem to consider anything pre 1990s as off limits, but those two are must owns. 2001 is as well, but now I'm pushing it.

I guess I find Blade Runner boring. I know its a cinematic piece of art, but I just get bored with it. I like 2001 + Close Encoutners though

That's surprising as I would think it would be the opposite.

My BD set had disc 4 and 5 loose. 4 is scratched badly. But Amazon sent my replacement via next day air, so I'll have it today. Hopefully I can put together a good set. I like the compact cases they are using for boxsets, but the hub buttons on this Blade Runner set suck. The discs barely stay on. Die Hard also uses the same case, but the hub they use for the disc is very sturdy.

Everyone I know either loves it or hates it.

I am a moderate sci-fi fan...by moderate I mean I won't jump to see every sci-fi movie, but I do appreciate well-done shows (certain iterations of Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica (new series)) and enjoy entertaining movies (Alien movies, Alien vs. Predator, Star Trek, Star Wars, Serenity) and if you're a gamer, I like the sci-fi themed rpg's (like Mass Effect, the setting of Halo, etc.)

Leaning towards picking it up...rental is out of the question as I would rather use that same money to buying the discs.
