Between this and last month's Sony sale, I can't believe all the Blu-ray discs that you could buy for 10 bucks. (unfortunately a lot of them I've already purchased at a higher price earlier in the year). Oh well, these sales give me a chance to fill in the gaps at a great price.

I only want one off the list, if anyone else is in the same boat let me know and I will order yours and ship it to you for $12 paypal (if you order a $20 BR, as I am ordering Wild Bunch).

GOLD TRADER btw.

One last try.

I was tempted but I think I'll stick with Netflix for most Blu-Ray titles.
I think I'd rather put this $$ toward getting a HD-DVD player.

$7.12 for a high-def disc. Unbelievable.

Do you think these deals will happen all the time or they just trying to incite people to buy in and once that happens they'll go back to $15-$20 each?

I jumped on Letters From Iwo Jima since the price is usually sky high and never on sale. I also grabbed Alexander, since I can handle paying only $11 for it. Why couldn't they have Flags of Our Fathers as part of this sale???

Probably because that one is a Dreamworks/Paramount disc, while the other film is a Warner release (only Warner titles are involved in this sale)

This really reminds me of the Reel.com days back in 1998/1999 timeframe. With their 40% discount, $10 off $25 coupon, free shipping promotion, etc, it was easy to stack deals and get DVDs for $8 to $10 a piece. Too bad it put them out of business.

These buy 1 get 1 free deals are awesome. My blu-ray collection is growing very rapidly thanks to these great deals.
This time i got :
Troy DC
300
The Fountain
The Departed
TMNT
Alexander Final Cut.
$71.85 for six movies is a great deal, I would have almost spent that much just buying 300,Troy DC and Departed during deepdiscount's 20% off sale.

Does anyone know if Hd-dvd will run any deals like this?

It seems like the assortment today is entirely different than the one from a day or two ago.

My first time using amazon. I selected 4 titles in all so it should be around $45 or so but it's coming up around $94. Anyone know why?

You won't see the discount until you're ready to click the Place Order button.

Any Reason why Amazon has a slow shipping system. Says they won't even ship them out for 5 days.

I wish the FMJ included in this sale was the "deluxe" newer version... That would have caused me to place an order.

The free shipping has been that way for a while. Any other shipping option usually ships same-day (a huge benefit of Amazon Prime). I would blame Amazon Prime for the slow free shipping, as they want to make Prime more attractive.

I can't seem to find that. I've seen it on hd format but not bluray. All best buy has is the version that amazon has. I guess they're trying to push out those before they bring out the deluxe.

Here is the deluxe version on Blu-Ray (not included in the sale): http://www.amazon.com/Full-Metal-Jac...6988554&sr=8-1

It's cheaper (by $1) than the older version, but with all the BD sales of late, I'm waiting until (hoping) it gets included in a B1G1.

That's a good price. I like the new cover. Been staring @ the helmet cover for quite some time. Always nice for a change. Only thing is if they're depicting private joker(born to kill helmet) they're wrong because he's holding the m-60 whereas who could not forget animal mothers character.

My last couple of orders said that. Then they shipped the next day. I think Amazon just wants to beat expectations and sets them low on free shipping at the start.

Awesome! Now I don't feel as bad.

I picked up:- First 3 I have on standard format but just had to have with 1080p res.

The Departed
Goodfellas
Troy DC
Under Siege - really shitty special features. I think just the trailer but oh well. I'll post an update on shipping once I'm notified.
