Wasn't X-Men I and II shown at some point as already being completed? I know we have seen screenshots on the Blu-ray menus.

That New Line list is only the titles that are currently being remixed for 7.1. It doesn't mean they will even be released before others, and of course it doesn't include titles that have already been remixed. (I wouldn't be surprised if the sound for LOTR was already done. It's rumored to have been encoded already.) Plus, some titles may remain 5.1, so they wouldn't be on the list either. For example, I don't see The Sweet Hereafter getting a 7.1 remix.

Then again, I don't see TSH getting released for a long freaking time.

It's look the delay will now be going into effect for all HD-DVD catalog titles as well:

http://www.highdefdigest.com/news/sh...og_Titles/1386

Taking the next step in its transition to Blu-ray exclusivity, Warner has extended its three-week delay on HD DVD releases to include catalog titles.

This move comes only days after the studio announced similar plans for the HD DVD editions of its new release titles, starting with 'The Invasion' and 'The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.'

At the time, it seemed that catalog titles would continue to be released concurrently on both next gen formats through May, but the studio now tells us that it's expanding its strategy to include catalog titles too, with the HD DVD versions of all of its remaining titles through the June 1 cut-off also receiving a three-week release delay.

The first two titles to officially receive new dates are 'Twister' (with the HD DVD edition pushed back from May 6 to May 27), and 'Bonnie & Clyde' (which sees a bump from March 25 to April 15). The Blu-ray and standard DVD editions will remain unaffected.

I would guess it depends on how well 20 Million Miles to Earth sold.

20 Million Miles to Earth didn't get a day and date release with the SD-DVD, but I have a gut feeling it isn't selling many copies on Blu-ray. If true, one would think that it might hinder the prospect of seeing the other two on BD (any time soon, at least).

you're right - I forgot that fact, it was several months between the standard and BR release.

Told you so

Blu-ray.com today has The 6th Day & Mr. Magorium's as upcoming titles (neither is bare bones) just announced. Were those previously announced with less details? As far as I'm concerned, two more stinkers not even worthy of a Netflix rental.

Early details for National Treasure 2. Coming late Spring.

http://www.highdefdigest.com/news/sh...s_Blu-ray/1414

Looks like the BD version will have exclusive features: "Book of History: The Fact and Fiction of National Treasure 2" featurette, and a pair of additional deleted scenes.

ID4:

and Wall Street:

And only Wall Street gets the full slate of extras? Very odd Fox, very odd.

And for those who care...

Me, Myself, and Irene:

Not sure what the extras situation for that one is like since I can't stand the movie itself.

I like the new cover on Gattaca much more than the 'green' cover it was originally going to get...however the ORIGINAL DVD cover trumps them both. I really hope the transfer on Gattaca is good, one of my favourite movies.

Nice!

Is National Treasure 1 still being released on Blu-Ray around that time? I want to pick up both movies.

A Passage to India looks great. It's one David Lean film that always eluded me on DVD.

Hard to tell if this means we are getting closer to or further from an announcement of "Lawrence of Arabia"...

From reading the insider's thread on blu-ray.com, it appears Sony won't be able to get Lawrence of Arabia out on BD this year, due to the marketing group undecided on what features to put on the disc.

Ghandi may be the big catalog title they release this Fall/Winter.

Mr. Cinema - Cool, thanks for the heads up. Stupid marketing groups!

Off-topic: Your top 3 of 2007 is amazing. Those are my top 3 except I would your #1 and #3 around (all 5-star films in my book though).
