I got the email from Disney about them mailing me the slip. I have to send them my copy of the disc. They also agreed to replace my "production error" copy of "The Prestige" if I send them the non-working disc. I'm very happy so far with how they are handling my problems.

I have a 3rd mystery ID on my copy from TRU:

A0100894564-A911 / B911

I don't have my player yet, so I don't know if it is corrected or not.

What's wrong with The Prestige? I'm getting it as one of my 5 free, want to be on the lookout.

There a few (very few) cases of discs that looked like they contained disc rot. It's been speculated that something went wrong with the hard coat.

Does anyone know what version of POTC:COTBP Buena-Vista is mailing out as part of the 5 free-by-mail rebate? I'm in Canada, by the way, if that matters.

I'm going off memory, but my number was similar to yours and didn't match either of the above numbers. I went to chapter 3 to check the now infamous shot of the headless Norrington. His head was indeed intact.

Mine has the longer series of numbers as well. Wonder if this means there are three disc codes out there:

The screwed up original
A batch made quickly to replace the original.
A new third disc that goes with new copies shipped to stores.

I received my reply e-mail today. Hopefully it shouldn't take too long to send in for my replacement disc.

Yes, but there is no way of knowing what disc is inside without watching the scene in question.

Amazon has Pirates:CotBP on sale for 19.99. you think they'll give me the fixed copy or you think it will be the one with the framing issues?

I just received a copy from Amazon two days ago, and it was still the old mis-framed disc.

I sent the misframed disc out yesterday. Hopefully, it's a pretty quick turnaround.

I still haven't mailed mine out yet. I've been lazy. What should I do with this index card? Give it to the post office clerk?

So send them the entire Blu-ray w/case artwork etc?

Anyone who got theirs back, was the new blu-ray sealed etc? Or do you think they just threw a new disk in & sent it back?

nope, all you need to do is send back the physical disc. I put mine in one of those paper disc sleeves, then bought a $.40 mailer envelope, put it in, and sent it out.

I sent my disc back about 2 weeks ago and got the replacement yesterday. I sent them the disc only and received the new disc in a paper sleeve. I verified it was the corrected version.

Don't send the case back, it says that on the form but that's because it is a generic form they use for everything. They are just replacing the disc.

Cool. I finally sent mine off and just included the disc. I also sent a copy of the email along just in case. That specifically said disc only.

I'm a little confused, -I've got the letter to fill out and it has an address on it, -and they sent a card with "Postage Due Unit" on it. How does this work? Obviously, I fill out the letter and enclose the disc, but how do I address this? Do I address the package as it states on the letter or do I attach the card? How does this work? I thought they'd send me a stick-on label....
