I skimmed through this thread and I found no info on a way to identify the corrected discs on store shelves. Does anyone know if the corrected versions are available at retail yet, and if so, does it have the same old UPC code or a new one?
I'm in Canada, btw, and the UPC code I see for this title at Future Shop and Best Buy happens to be 786936724790.
Btw, how bad is the misframing? Is is only that one shot with the
, or are there many more noticeable examples?

So I finally got my copy from Amazon and see that it has the numbering for the missframed version (is it just one shot because everything looks fine?). So where do I go to get this replaced?

What a coincidence that this was bumped ... I finally received my replacement today after almost 7 weeks (even though I am located only hours from the WI address). Based on early reports of people getting them back in a couple weeks, I was getting worried.

Called Disney today and, not only are they going to replace the disc, they offered to replace my broken case and the damaged cover insert. Now that's customer service!

Re: Pirates of the Caribbean: CotBP BD framed incorrectly?
I bought mine at the end of April and it had the proper disc w/ no framing issues on COTBP. Dont know if this is a sign or not but the one I got had no slipcovers inside the box set. Others i saw at some other stores had slipcovers on all 3 movies inside the box. Not sure if they changed it during production run when they ran out of slipcovers or if thats how you can tell later releases with proper framing.

See, now I'd prefer all the slipcovers, but I've seen some sets with just one or two of the movies having the slipcovers, so I don't know if thats a way to determine it, especially with every set at Best Buy today containing all 3 slipcovers.

Is it too late to get an incorrectly framed disc replaced? I'm not even sure if mine is one, but I purchased it a while ago on it's own... and I haven't even watched it yet! If mine the wrong version, I'd love the correct version with proper framing (of course!).

I purchased mine 5/10/2009 from Amazon and just today found this thread and checked and sure enough it suffered bad framing. I immediatly clicked the link from the first page and reported it, no word from them yet.

My trilogy had the correct framing for the first movie. I bought it from Amazon a few months back. I noticed some of the newer trilogies (including mine) don't have a slipcover for the first movie so I'm curious if that means its the corrected version.
