Are Tartan's UK releases typically region coded?

I saw that press release a couple days back at HDD which made me think they were domestic announcements, but the inclusion of The Proposition, which was released in the US by First Look on DVD, had me doubting it.

The two releases of theirs that I have are region-free.

Currently they do not code their discs.

Via The Times:

Optimum Home Entertainment have announced the UK Blu-ray Disc release of several titles over the coming months. Dates are considered tentative, particularly those beyond the first two day-and-date titles in April, but this list gives you a good idea of the kind of support Optimum appear to be moving towards…

First up, on 21st April 2008 are two day-and-date releases, Storm Warning and Welcome to the Jungle. Features are TBC, but we expect extra content to match the DVD releases (details here and here).

Moving into June they have plans for In The Valley of Elah on the 2nd, My Blueberry Nights on the 16th, All the Boys Love Mandy Lane on the 23rd and Diary of the Dead on the 30th.

We suspect these last four titles will be moved around considerably, as the tentative release schedule actually lists In The Valley of Elah for 12th May, but we already know this is incorrect (with 2nd June the most recently announced date).

And finally, although we're still waiting for some official word, the complete lack of any HD DVD listings for these titles does suggest that Optimum will follow Toshiba's decision to drop support of the format.

I hope that release is region free. I may order it if the Paramount isn't released by then. That cover art is great and a lot better than original pre-cancellation art.

I'd like to think Paramount can have the domestic Blu-Ray ready by June, but if not, this will be mine pending region free verification.

If that's region-free, I'm definitely grabbing a copy.

There's a UK release in June too - no word on whether it is region free or not.

I like the cover. The Devil's Own was always a guilty pleasure of mine. Will be picking it up.

Oh my God, Black Narcissus! That's one of my "dream" releases and I honestly didn't expect it to happen so soon, if at all. This should look incredible, provided they don't screw anything up.

It's a ITV/Freemantle release - the same people who did the restored Narcissus DVD a few years back.

Spotted a few Spanish releases while looking for something to boost my (sadly SD-DVD) purchase of Medem's Caotica Ana. Can anyone confirm region coding on Las 13 Rosas and La Carta Esférica? Or indeed the quality of the transfers?
