For anyone interested, XploitedCinema has the Japanese Danny The Dog (Unleashed) Blu-Ray in stock. It claims unrated cut and it has a TrueHD 6.1 track. Can't wait for my copy to ship...

I'll probably import "The Orphanage". My girlfriend saw the movie and had nothing but good things to say about it.

I have updated the list for the 2008 upcoming foreign-language releases. If anyone has any suggestions how to organize the upcoming foreign releases of English-language productions please let me know (Should we keep the 2007 list? Should we start part 2 with all new and announced releases? Should we just list them as they come out? etc).

Also, what are some good places to order non-UK discs from?

Critics are welcome to let me know how to best organize everything else.

Ok, take a look now at page 1. I have updated all of the new releases, added up my preferred stores for imports, and cleaned up the info for both categories, foreign-language films and all other overseas releases.
If anything needs to be changed, let me know, I would do it tomorrow.
Ciao,

anyone know if the upcoming French release of 'March of the Penguins' might have English subs? (I really like the original voice work/music and slightly longer cut of the film)

Moreover, for non-French speakers, the lack of subtitles during the performances greatly undermines the impact of the songs. This is not a complicated thing, studios: if the lyrics are discernable, they should be translated just like the dialog, significant signage, letters, etc.

Thanks for updating the releases Pro-B. Keep up the good work.
Also I noticed that Xploited Cinema has updated their Blu-Ray releases section with many import titles. Didn't even know a lot of those were scheduled to come out for Blu-Ray.

I've been watching their site daily like a hawk for Danny The Dog - I pounced on it and my copy has already shipped. I figured it would be a popular one even at ~$42 given it is listed as the unrated cut, and only the R rated made it to HD DVD domestically.
