1-3 are region free. 4 should be region free as Metronome haven't region coded any of their discs as far as I'm aware.

(1) plays in my North American PS3 - not sure if that's because its region free, or if because the disc is from a Region A country.

Thanks for the info guys. For sure I'll be picking up the Infernal Affairs Blu-ray trilogy then. Hopefully we get some concrete information about whether I'm a Cyborg is region-coded or not as we get closer to release date.

I spoke to Tony at Xploited and it sounds like he's expecting Infernal Affairs 2 in next week with the trilogy box following shortly after. Not sure if there will be a price difference between the three separate releases and the box.

I just pre-ordered the Infernal Affairs Box Set from DDDHouse. They have it for a 5/20 release. I also received the Assembly from Blahdvd. I'll probably take a look at it sometime this week. It's too bad the the extras are in PAL format.

Nice. I didn't even know there was going to be a trilogy Blu-ray boxset for Infernal Affairs. It would save me about $18 US/CAD over buying the individual Blu-rays.

all three movies plus shipping comes out to a little under 70 bucks from DDDHouse - it really is the way to purchase the films - all of them. Put in my preorder.

I am thinking of getting some of the hong kong blu-rays like CJ7, Ronin, Trainspotting -- are these easy to navigate through the menus / turn off subtitles? Is the PQ high quality 1080P?

I have CJ7 but haven't watched it yet. I'll try and give it a spin this weekend and let you know.

DVD Times is reporting (and in their words, "confirming") today that the upcoming ITV Blu-ray releases of Black Narcissus, Bugsy Malone, Great Expectations, Strictly Ballroom, Boys From Brazil and Escape to Athena are not region coded. Hoo-f'n-ray!!

Wow, it's about time somebody confirmed this. I don't understand why ITV couldn't just announce this up front.

Anyway, good news. Thanks for the info and the link.

CJ7 is a Hk release and should very English-friendly like other HK releases.

Ronin and Trainspotting are Japan releases, I know that the movie starts immediately for Ronin and I only need to use the audio button to switch to the desired language. And there are no extras.

Has anyone in the US ordered from Blahdvd.com before for UK Blu-Rays? Their prices are equal or cheaper than Amazon UK or Xploited, and the shipping to the US is dirt cheap ($2). I can get Boys From Brazil for $29 USD shipped, Beowulf or Sweeney for $35, Lucky # Slevin for $24...

I wonder what overseas shipment method they use for $2. Hopefully not something that travels on water.

I ordered Almost Famous from Blahdvd without any issues. Their shipping is a little slow but nothing wrong with the company itself.

Does anyone know if Great Expectations, Black Narcissus, or Boys From Brazil will be region coded? I'd like to get all three.

Am I mistaken, or is there a history of censorship on Korean DVDs - that is, should we expect this to be the uncut version of "Lust, Caution"?

I received an e-mail from Amazon UK this afternoon saying that the Black Narcissus Blu-ray had been delayed, although the website still shows a June 23rd date. Anyone have details?
