got mine today as well... unfortunately they substituted 2 of the titles I ordered with 2 I don't give a shit about... oh well... they're free & I can always take them to a used place or flea-bay (with new improved HIGHER fees!)

*TROY: The Directors Cut (Special Edition) I ordered Syriana but they sent this instead. This sucks but it was free so I guess I cant complain too much...I already have the standard def Ultimate Gift Set so i have no use for this....Any ideas on how to exchange this in store?

Not bad I only had to wait about 11 weeks for these.

Got my second batch of HD DVDs today. I had submitted soon after getting in on the WalMart HD-A2 deal for $99. They substituted The Thing in place of The Hulk. I already had gotten The Thing in the first batch. Both copies have a blank white label over the UPC under the shrink wrap. I listed it as an item to trade in the FS/FT thread.

I wanted to confirm that some people are actually receiving the new FMJ on the 5-free. My best friend runs a used store, and a guy came in the other day and traded it in, brand new, saying that he got it from the rebate.

Got mine on 2/1 as well, received all of my selections too.

Of them all, Frightners was the only one with the UPC cut through.

I have a question: If you already bought an xbox hd-dvd 360 add on way back in August of 2007 and sent in for the free movies (and got the movies), can you buy another one now (Feb 6th 2008) and still get the 5 free movies from this deal? On the form it says one per household, but I did the deal dated before this one. Has anyone been successful doing this? If yes then It would be totally worth it just for the movies alone because today's Amazon Gold Box deal is a xbox 360 HD-DVD add on $79.99 shipped.

* I can't change my address (and have it sent to a friend) because it's how my credit card is listed with Amazon. My Amazon reciept will obviously have my name and address listed.
So it will be the same name and address as the previous one I did the 5 free for back in August 07'.

Anyone had any luck with this or will I get rejected?

Got mine yesterday. Don't rememeber what I ordered but received: The Thing, Troy DC, Firewall, Aeon Flux and Swordfish. Only the Thing has a sticker over the UPC. I have another batch coming for a "Christmas present" I had purchased for my parents. The discs are going to their house. Hey maybe you can buy that add-on for a birthday prersent for someone.

With the trouble Toshiba is in, I don't see them giving people a hard time about it. So many peoiple have double dipped on this deal I doubt they're checking.

The big problem is what to do with these titles? In the old days it was easy top just go to Media Play and exchange it for anything else. Now the stores around here are so strict, no exchange without a receipt even on sealed merchandise. Everyone has these same titles so they're pretty tough to sell or trade. I have 4 copies of 300. 1 SD, then I got the BD then I got 2 HDDVD with players. Good movie but what the hell do I do with all these copies?

My latest batch showed up yesterday. I believe it took about 3 months. I forgot how poorly some of my choices were.

These were my selections as well, which I received about 2 weeks ago. Didn't love Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, but it's a decent one to have in the collection with young kids around, and it's a nice HD-DVD. Happy to have Italian Job--fun movie. Love The Thing so that was a no-brainer, and it's an excellent HD-DVD. The Frighteners is a decent movie, but I already have the SD-DVD, so this may not be opened. Darkman was a throw-in. So 3/5 for me have some value. Throw them in with a $99 HD-A2 from BB, and 3 free HD-DVDs from BB on the spot, and I feel pretty good about that purchase.

I wanted to add to the growing list here that I received my movies yesterday, which were ordered with the Wal-Mart A-2 sale. I received everything I ordered. No replacements.

The Frighteners, being Universal, had the UPC slashed. The Thing, also Universal, had a white sticker of the original UPC Code.

I'm adding my information, because checking back to this thread everyday was very encouraging to me as I began to read how others started receiving their movies who had sent their information off the same time I did.

I sent the form in mid-November from the Wal-mart A-2 deal. I called today and they said it was processing (started processing on Jan. 11th, which seems kinda late to me). I WANT MY MOVIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I sent mine in around the 12th of December and I'm still waiting. Do these assholes actually think 10 weeks is an acceptable turnaround time for processing mail in rebates in the 21st freakin century!?!?

I sent mine in mid dec as well, but i figure they were inundated at that time, so I figured it would be march before they came...

They shipped a little over two weeks before I received them (1/24).
