France is getting Harry Potter 4 on December 6. I would say we'll get a US announcement soon from Warners. Next week hopefully.

Has anyone ever had thier Amazon order sent twice? I ordered 12 Monkeys, Slither, Out of Sight & The Mission Impossible Ultimate Missions 3 pack and recieved my order in two days as I selected 2 day shipping. I then recieved the exact same order yesterday that was sent regular shipping, not 2 day. I looked at my credit card statment and it is showing one one charge from them and it was the 2 day shipping total. Could it be that they simply made a mistake and shipped my order twice while only charging for it once? Has anyone ever had this happen before? I am a very honest person but that being said I am tempted to keep this second order and return it to best buy for store credit :-). That is of course if they didnt charge me a 2nd time which it looks like they didnt.

Anyways has anyone ever had this happen before and if so did you return it or keep it? I have ordeed from Amazon hundreds of tims and this is the first time anything like this has ever happened.

PS..

Considering CJplay kinda let the cat out of the bag over at AVS, it should be out this month (end).

There was a thread about this over at AVS that got closed a few days ago due to people arguing over the moral aspect of it. Somebody got another copy of a HD DVD that Amazon had already shipped to him. It's a weird situation to be in if you ask me. But I think I would just send it back to Amazon in the end. It's up to you really and what you feel is "right" I guess.

Someone on AVS mentioned receiving an extra copy of V for Vendetta.

I wouldn't surprised if Amazon contacts those people who received duplicate orders asking them to be returned. This happened to me once before and about a week later they sent an e-mail letting me know that they were aware of the mistake.

It's actually happened to me twice and I returned them both times. If you call customer service and tell them what happened they usually give you a nice credit or something toward your next purchase. They sent me an extra copy of a $25 box set and gave me a $15 credit for returning it. I like Amazon a lot, I think they're pretty fair so I don't mind the occassional error. Now if this was Circuit City or something, I might have a different response...

The Ant Bully is coming day-and-date with the normal dvd on Blu Ray and HD-DVD.

The HD-DVD is a combo version with the movie in 1080P presentation and Dolby True HD , Dolby Digital Plus in English.

The Blu Ray version is also released in 1080P but with normal Dolby Digital soundtrack.

Extra's are 7 Animated Shorts, Additional Scenes, It Takes a Colony making-of featurette and an Ant Habitat TV Screensaver.

Crouching Tiger

Sony has been very quiet about their BD releases. There's not been any big announcements from them. I don't count Talladega Nights as a big title.

Nothing on The Wicker Man yet......I expect some announcements to be made by Warner for titles like Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire.
Maybe Wicker Man is announced with it too.

Don't hate Warner because the Blu-ray camp can't get TrueHD to work yet.

*sigh*

I hate warner for using FBB stream instead of FBA stream. Cheap bastards won't spring for the good stuff, so they take the cheapest route and screw over Blu-ray owners in the process. It has nothing to do with the hardware.

Will the first Mission: Impossible movie get an individual HD-DVD release, or will we have to buy the box set?

Not sure. It took a few years before Paramount broke up that Godfather set. If it happens, it likely wouldn't be for a few months. I guess it depends on how well the set sells.

Uh huh. What's your excuse for every other studio not issuing TrueHD on Blu-ray? What's your excuse for the fact that no Blu-ray player supports Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD MA in the first place?

I hope Sony does justice to both Kung-Fu Hustle and Crouching Tiger.

I don't need an excuse. Legends of Jazz Showcase, which was released by LRSmedia, is a TrueHD title.

All Blu-ray players support TrueHD and DTS-HD MA, but only with decoding the core. Full decoding capability will be added to the Panasonic via firmware (so the hardware is already in the machine). Much like the Toshiba was not able to fully decode the TrueHD titles until a later firmware upgrade.

No need to get upset, Josh.

I see that Universal put American Pie: Naked Mile up for a dvd release 12/19. The first film and this movie were on the promotion list sometime ago so I'd expect to see an announcement pretty soon.
