does DVDplanet price-match? I sold a bunch of discs to them and want to start using my credit but they charge a good $4-5 more than Amazon and other places.

I dont know if they pricematch, but they have coupons...

http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showthread.php?t=483138

After the free shipping and coupons, it can come out to be a pretty good deal.

I realize that the fanbases of HD DVD and association football are both quite small on this board, but in case you are in their intersection (as I am), you will be happy to know this:

Amazon.co.uk is now selling FIFA World Cup - All The Goals Of Germany 2006 for only £14.99. It still applied my 10% off, so I ended up getting this for about 16 quid shipped, or about $31.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/FIFA-World-C...?ie=UTF8&s=dvd

They also have a BD but it is a bit more expensive.

I pre-ordered the HD DVD from them in November and the release date kept getting pushed back. The new date was supposed to be 1/15 but it has been delayed again. ChoicesUK.com now has a ship date of 2/26 so who knows when it will come out.

Also Buy.com has lowered their prices on a bunch of HD DVDs and Blu-rays. There are some decent deals if you look.

From Bargains:

Tower.com is having a sitewide 25% off sale 1/19 - 1/22.

Use code J7F4T3Y to get an extra 15% off purchases of $40 or more, excluding video games. Standard Free Shipping for orders of $20 or more. That's the good news.

The bad news: Their sale is 25% off LIST prices, so whether it's a great deal or not is in the eye of the beholder...

Looks like you might be better off just ordering through Amazon with the 10% IMO.

Frys.Com has Clerks 2 HD-DVD for $14.99. Shipping was almost $5 for me, though.

If you paired it up with something else you were wanting anyway to spread out the shipping costs a little bit it would be a very good deal.

Amazon.com tells me the 10% code has expired. Is this the right code?

For new accounts at Amazon, the 10% off deal expired on December 31st, 2006. For accounts that were already enrolled in the program, the deal is set to expire on Dec. 31st, 2007.

Ok. So there is no way to be enrolled in the account? I am a Prime Member if that makes any difference....
Thanks,
Matthew

Not since the promotion ended on December 31st, 2006 (unless you have a time machine).

YMMV on this one but I was just able to score Clerks II at BB via a PM from Frys. Surprised they did it considering I'm on the East Coast and they've never done that before. $15.74 in the end

I enrolled in this for HD-DVDs last year and much to my surprise the discount works on Blu-Rays for me now as well!

Nice work, Amazon!

It didn't make a difference. You would have got the discount even if you had bought 1 HDD and 2 BD titles.

Buy.com is currently having an HDD/BD sale. Many titles $19.50 (and up). Couple with the $10 GCO coupon, and you can get many titles at $15 each (not bad).

Thanks for the info. I picked up Saw II (Amazon had this listed as being released February 6, for some reason.) and Memento.

Two terrible transfers, from what I read, unfortunately. Memento is legendarily bad.

Saw 2 has a bad transfer? I haven't been able to find any reviews on it yet. I know the original Saw wasn't the best transfer, but this is the first I have heard anything on the second one.
