That's a good deal. How did you get free shipping? I can get most titles for $15.96 but shipping pushes the total up so it's actually only 10% off.

I'm sure it's been mentioned but I figured it was worth repeating:

The Samsung and Phillips Blu-Ray players are available on Amazon for under $600 each.

You can also paid that with the PS3 coupons (if yuo have a PS3 to get those Blu-Ray discs CHEAP at BB). Although, there is none I really want....and I would have to cut the UPC from the case.

How reliable is Bestprices.com? They have the cheapest prices on most HD/BD when combined with Google Checkout.

I want to own at least one BD with my PS3 (other than Talladega Nights). Thinking of SAW, SAW II, Devil's Rejects or The Descent.

Slow, but I have not had a problem with them. I have heard some people complain, but the main complaint is always speed.

Well, by "someone who used to be on this forum but was banned"s logic, this must mean that Bluray is failing, they are already being clearanced out!!

Yeah, I've ordered BHD but it hasn't shipped yet. Monster House is the only other title I would buy, so I may cancel the order and get them at BB. I just don't know if I feel like going up there. I've gotten used to staying away and buying everything online.

Are these deals ever offered online by any chance?

Looks like the valueelectronics deal is done. The price any way... you still get 2 movies.

Sorry I forgot who originally posted it, but price matching the Sears flyer at BB/CC is a sweet way to get a cheap HD version of Friday Night Lights. She couldn't figure out what half of 15 was....so she went for 7.99. Close enough.
I walked out w/ HD Friday Night Lights and SD of Bruce Almighty for $19.
Bruce should find his way back to the store shortly, if possible.

Awesome price! Still for $499 the PS3 is the best bet. I realize a lot of people are turned off by the idea of using a game console as a movie player but the PS3 is outstanding in this regard. Add the remote for $25 and you're set.

Yeah, I am loving the PS3 for BD playback. It is so responsive and I have had 0 issues with it.

The price is dead. And I'm not spending over $400...and certainly not on a PS3. I would've used Fatwallet on this one to bring it down another $13.

Why no PS3 option? Even if you hated videogames, it makes a great Blu-Ray player, it can do photo slideshows, can be an MP3 jukebox, browse the internet, and you can even download games like Sudoku and Lemmings (not to mention demos for Gran Turismo, Motorstorm, Resistance, and many others) at no cost.

I respectfully disagree with Digi on his rationale for not buying a PS3 for the blu-ray player, but he feels that he doesn't want a gaming machine to play movies, even though the Blu-ray player is one of the main function of the device and it's one of the better BD players out there.

1) I'm not spending over $400. I didn't even spend $300 on my HD DVD player and see no reason to spend more than that on BD.

2) I don't care about having the option to do any of the things above. I don't hate videogames. I hate...

3) Sony's attitude throughout this format war and therefore will no longer be buying their products (aside from movies) any more. I would have no problems buying a Samsung, Pioneer or Panasonic. Unfortunately, Samsung is the only product even close to being reasonable right now. So, thus, I'll have to keep on the lookout.
