After the big news about the HD studios backing this big advertising campaign, I'm going to guess that Universal will announce King Kong soon.....I hope.
If WB announces a high profile title or two this week, then hopefully Universal will follow that up with an announcement in the near future.

Looks like 12/5 is back as the date for Poseidon HD DVD.
from the Blu-Bits: "The delay is apparently due to Warner's desire to include more advanced interactive features on the HD-DVD version that require additional time to prepare and test"

I found Pitch Black easily at Best Buy, but they had no listings whatsoever for Enter The Dragon or Dukes of Hazzard. Since I had pre-ordered Pitch Black and Enter The Dragon from Amazon, I just decided to take the savings and wait instead of paying more for only PB tonight. I ended up getting the third season of Reno 911! on SD DVD instead.

from videobusiness:
"Warner will release some of its premiere titles on HD DVD in the current third quarter, including Batman Begins and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, senior VP of marketing management Steve Nickerson told VB. Batman Begins had initially been expected earlier this spring."
"But the HD DVD marketing onslaught is intended to ultimately support the all-important holiday shopping period when various hardware models and A-list titles should be available."

From AVS:
I've been keeping an eye on DVD Aficionado , Batman Begins has been listed as "Not Announced". I just checked, it now shows a release date of August 29th. Has there been an announcement somewhere that I missed? This site has been fairly reliable for me in the past.
Edit: They now show Aug 29 for Harry Potter 4 too.

DVD Aficionado also has the Ultimate Star Trek Collection coming out on November 7.
I wonder how much that bad boy will cost and if they'll choose 2 movies per disc...
Also....they show Braveheart on October 31.
