I just now noticed they had Twister on the "Look and Sound" site. I didn't see it yesterday, must have missed it. That should be a good demo.

Id love to see the MSRP on that bad boy.
I'm waiting for the Superman boxed set. It's supposed to be 14 DVD's...so god knows how many HD-DVD's we're getting. I have a feeling we'll be going back to the days of laserdisc boxed sets with that price

That's been expected for a while. It was always on the initial WB list and even had a place-marker on Amazon for the last 6 months. It's a definite guilty pleasure and I'll be picking it up! I remember the day it opened and i skipped a 1/2 a day of high school to see it

Well, since WB has been generally able to fit 2-disc sets on one HD-DVD, would it be hard to imagine that the 14-disc DVD set may only be a 7 or 8 HD-DVD set? It will still hurt the wallet, but 14 HD-DVDs doesn't seem like it would be necessary. Then again, since HD-DVD can't do seamless branching yet, I would imagine that Superman 1 and 2 would each take up two discs (theatrical and DC for 1, theatrical and Donner for 2), and then that Singer may add enough stuff to Returns to justify another 2-discs. So maybe 9 discs?

Sure, definitely. But that's where the Amazon 10% off comes in.

Exactly. I'm thinking 10 discs.
That mother will EASILY be $150, if not more.

Hopefully if they're doing an ST box set, they'll also release them separately. I don't need I, V, First Contact, or Nemesis.

Damn, between this, all the fall releases and the upcoming Star Trek boxset, I better go to the bank and get a loan.

Supposedly T3 will be coming out next week according to DVDaf. I can't see that happening though.

Still good news. At least we have SOME idea of what they are planning in the coming months. It seems like we've been in the dark most of this launch.

I'm not the biggest fan of First Contact, but it's certainly better than Insurrection.

First Contact is easily my favorite of the Next Generation movies. I hope these are sold apart though. I can do without rebuying most of these.

Oops, sorry. I meant Generations. First Contact was the best of the TNG movies. My mistake.

Assuming (fingers crossed) that V for Vendetta arrives on 8/1, I believe that'd mean Warner's next day/date title would be The Lake House, which I'd expect to street sometime around mid-to-late September.

Im wondering if V will be in the same boat as Poseidon (no pun intended) as far as a release date.

It's still tied for best movie this year IMHO. I need to see it and Superman again to truly figure it out, if i can.

Yes, Batman Begins and Superman Returns are THE best comic book movies IMO.

But, im biased because those were the superheroes that I loved as a kiddo.

Same with me. But I've had Batman since it came out on SD DVD and still haven't watched it. Obviously I'm not in a rush
