Well I don't remember you informing me about that title. So no need to get snippy.

EDIT: I see the announcement now.
Blockbuster has 6/27 on their website for Batman Begins. That said, they also have The Green Mile on hd-dvd for April 2006.

6/27 seems like a popular date for Batman though. Im wagering on that date for it to be released.

I got a reply from BCI. Night of the Werewolf and Vengeance of the Zombies are 'on hold.' They didn't say anything about Night of the Sorcerors and The Lorelei's Grasp, so I take that as a confirmation for those two titles. List price is $24.98.
And another from Concert Hot Spot, the studio that released View from Space
"A View From Space With Heavenly Music", had a street date of June 6, 2006 in HD DVD and will be released in Blu-ray on July 11, 2006.
"A Guitarscape Planet" by Muriel Anderson will be released on June 27, 2006 in HD DVD and July 11, in Blu-ray. Again, the resolution is 1080i and the codec used was MPEG2. The audio is Dolby Digital Plus. It's features the worlds best female guitarist along with nature footage shot worldwide in 1080i.
The company "will have many other HD DVD, and Blu-ray releases by year end featuring world famous popular music artists." They have delayed press coverage to date "simply because we decided to wait until there were a meaningful number of players available-hopefully by next month."

The HD-DVD release list is starting to look thin for the rest of the summer.
I know they are announcing releases soon before the actual release date (sometimes a week), but it would be nice if they would just announce a huge release list for the rest of the year.

I wouldn't say "thin." Again, they're announcing them week to week. If they're hoping to get 200 out by the end of the year, it makes sense that they're doing it at this pace. We're just going to have to set aside money for the next week, depending on what is rumored to be coming out. It'll be playing it by ear but it's nice to have some surprises every week, I think.

If I get Batman, the Matrix, and Kong by the end of the summer, I'll be more happy than I was in the initial days of DVD. I remember how dry those days were.
Slumming it with DOOM, Van Helsing, and Constantine is almost as bad as what was available at the time DVD launched, but at least these look real pretty.

I guess we will see as the summer goes by, but the delay by Paramount and lack of release dates from other studios is annoying.
At some point, it seems like they would have a handle on the releases and know more exact dates. Im just wondering when thats gonna happen!?!
Toshiba/HD-DVD have an opportunity to REALLY tighten against BD. With the BD delays, HD-DVD could step up, announce releases and being to solidify. As more time goes by though, dropping the ball seems to be more likely.

Maybe its all strategy, but who knows.
