KONG!

Was a bit disappointed with the flick itself, but this is huge for HD DVD. I'll definitely pick it up... the A/V quality should be top-notch.

^ Since highdefdigest got it from video business and a sony vp was quoted...I would bet that it isnt going to be released.

“We really felt it really required an appropriate amount of time to create the best Blu-ray release possible,” Sony senior VP Fritz Friedman said. “It will be well worth the wait.”

Wow, odd. Though delays are usual with Sony nowadays, the focus on quality is not.

The images weren't showing up, all I got was a DVDActive placeholder so I put them on another server for you.

Seems like most websites still have Backdraft for 9/12. Wonder if it will come through.

The M:I boxset is back up to 69.99. Between the inability to preorder T3 and Troy, and this boxset's yo-yo string price, Amazon is killing me.

I'm in for Dune if the transfer is good. Actually, I'll probably buy it anyway

Well, Universal hasn't let me down yet. Josh pointed out that they've never been very respectful of Dune, but I'll wait and see how it looks.

interesting to note that the UK edition of the HD-DVD of 'Saw' has the common sense to release the full unrated version - Sony has beans for brains

A bunch of these were distributed theatrically by Entertainment Film Distributors Ltd. in the UK. I wonder if they are owned by an HD DVD-friendly studio.
