Suspending a member because they're promoting a movie that has been shoved down our throats is asinine. He's not doing anything different than what IB is doing in continuing to run the ad even after everyone has spoken out against it. You've got members who have been here for years leaving because of this nonsense. You'd figure someone would take the hint by now. This site has definitely taken a wrong turn.

And who was that exactly? I can't find any posts in other or even in the mod forum discussing suspending someone for posting the ad.

Whoa, I didn't intend to start a revolt. I thought I was just being funny, apparently it was a little too much - and apparently I'm not suspended after all. I was trying to lighten the mood, not add more tension.

DVDtalk ads have never bothered me much -- until now. Even that stupid bi-plane ad that made the airplane noises when you went anywhere near it. But we complained and Geoff took it down. And it didn't take a 16 page thread.

Anyway - I'm now running no scripts just to avoid that stupid fucking ad. Nice job IB!

Bando was suspended for posting silly, harmless little Frontier(s) comments in a bunch of Other threads (that's my educated guess anyway). It's cool to see that decision was reversed at least.

(I originally didn't say "who" was suspended as we are not allowed to talk about suspended members. I was only following the rules)
