Well, I'm never going to watch "Frontier(s)"

... mainly because that ad is bugging the hell out of me. It expands without me ever rolling over it, and several times it's still played even when I "close" the ad... and then it expands, and plays, again! It's not a random occurrence either, appearing on nearly every page I go to. How long is this advertising supposed to go on for, because it's doing the exact opposite of what it should be doing.

 I came here to complain about the same ad. I don't mind sound in ads, or video ads, or flash ads. But when I have no way to control it, then this becomes an issue. Are you using Firefox as well?

Red Dog 05-10-08 08:14 AM

Same here.

matome 05-10-08 08:18 AM

Yep, very annoying.

GreenMonkey 05-10-08 09:03 AM

Ditto. It just keeps playing over and over again. I've been getting 2 popups of it per page and both playing audio. ARGH.

Lemdog 05-10-08 09:08 AM

Yep, came here to say the same thing.

Sweet Baby James 05-10-08 09:10 AM

Ad be gone!!!

Decker 05-10-08 09:10 AM

Seriously, this is a big problem. I can't have scary music or images popping up with little kids in my house. Please kill this ad, Geoff.

The Cow 05-10-08 09:23 AM

Wow. That thing is horrible!

Decker, Geoff doesn't work here anymore.

Still, make it go away.

Minor Threat 05-10-08 09:30 AM

That ad sucks major balls.....

Walker Boh 05-10-08 09:41 AM

Firefox user here too ... please fix this.

dx23 05-10-08 10:09 AM

same here

Bacon 05-10-08 10:20 AM

screw that movie and ad

benedict 05-10-08 10:57 AM

I cannot say when this will be looked into by IB but I have just emailed their representative in order that someone can check this out.

cpgator 05-10-08 11:00 AM

Came for the same reason... make it stop please.

drmoze 05-10-08 11:49 AM

Me too. Using Firefox, and that damn ad is popping up on every page. Sometimes it covers actual posts, and I can't get rid of it. :wtf:

I also don't consider it to be very "family friendly." And with the unstoppable audio and video of graphic images, I for one think this ad violates the forum rules

BEGONE, DAMMIT!

TomOpus 05-10-08 11:51 AM

I didn't come here to complain. I just knew there would be a thread to read :)

I know it pays the bills but it IS a tad annoying.

Graftenberg 05-10-08 12:02 PM

Kill it please!!

chanster 05-10-08 12:34 PM

This thing sucks.

Darknite39 05-10-08 01:21 PM

It's nice to see I'm not the only one who's annoyed by this ad.

Bronkster 05-10-08 01:26 PM

Add me to the list of users who came here to bitch about that ad! :grunt:

;)

Draven 05-10-08 02:14 PM

At least it looks family friendly!

An4h0ny 05-10-08 02:28 PM

Dr Mabuse 05-10-08 02:48 PM
