I was gonna buy the t-shirt for the same reason, but I guess I'm too late

My only suggestion for the shop is for the logos on the hats and shirts to be smaller. Having done a fair bit of shirt design in my day I can say that it always comes out a lot bigger than you'd imagine and a big honking logo on the belly of a shirt doesn't look as good as a nice neat logo centered on the chest.

Count me in as someone who thinks it looks to cartoonish. I really don't think it suits the site all that well either. I love the idea of a contest.

It really is awful. Something you'd see on a site with a row of 30 flaming skull animated gifs and a midi in the background.

[Comic Book Guy]Worst Logo Ever![/Comic Book Guy]

Seriously though, I thought the old one was perfect. This is too balloon-y and cartoon-y.

Man, that logo really is ugly.
The creator's web design work looks equally bad, if not worse.

I'm glad someone else said it first.

Frankly, I don't spend enough time hanging around the top of the page for it to matter.

And blinking and scrolling text too? In all CAPPS, at size 8.
Those are the true signs of a design master.

Dude, nothing beats scrolling text, especially when it's in the status bar. That's just 2-k3wl 4 m3.

P.S. Trailing cursors r0x0r j00.

thinking about buyin' the hat!

put me on the list as someone who likes the new logo. and hows this for a plug? the great thing about my company is that i dont have to enforce dress codes. in my line of work....hats kind of fit the criteria. anyway, i'll be buying one and a few other things to show my support for the sight. You're all just as addictive as dvd's!!!

anyone else buy DVD-Talk product's and if so, what? just curious.

o.k., back to on-line x-box!!!!Gut's Weakness

I have to agree with some people here... and disagree with others.

In any case... too cartoony. And the blue gradients overlapping like that... well, my graphic design professor would have shot me, I'll just say that.

Just my opinion... I'm sure the logo's here to stay so I won't kick up a fuss. Carry on...

Geoff-

It's your site (and a great one, at that) and you obviously can do whatever you want with it.

And with that being said, I can't stand that new logo. I'm not a graphic artist, but I know what I likes, and that ain't it.

DVD Talk hats are sooo earlier this week. All the cool kids are wearing Cinema Gotham hats and barbeque aprons.
