The Rolling Stones in the 60s
2 disk complete documentary of the first period for the Stones. From the first blues and r'n'b covers to the string of successes starting with Satisfaction, on to the firing and death of Brian Jones to megastardom with the albums Beggar's Banquet, Let it Bleed and the disaster of the Altamont Freeway concert where the Hell's Angels were supposed to act as security guards but got pissed and violent and killed a guy and beat up several others. Amazingly detailed if you're into their music, anal if you're not! You can't always get what you want...

NOT QUITE HOLLYWOOD - A STORY OF OZPLOITATION
Excellent documentary (with Tarantino a big fan) of australian exploitation films of the 70 and 80s. Fascinating if you like the genre or the history of cinema. Back when they were shooting car chases for real with the actors actually driving with the cameraman strapped to the hood! They made irresponsible but great ifilms in the B-movie format. They just are hard to find on DVD. My favorite: Turkey Shoot!
